And while injured Cavs superstar Kyrie Irving may not be authoring highlights inside Quicken Loans Arena tonight, his silver-haired, sweet-shooting alter ego — Pepsi’s now-famous Uncle Drew — certainly will be.
Thanks to a unique partnership between the Cavaliers, Pepsi and Panini America, fans entering tonight’s game will receive a special five-card pack of Uncle Drew trading cards featuring Irving in costume as everyone’s favorite Pepsi-sipping, pickup-game powerhouse of a senior citizen.
The set — previewed in the gallery that follows — features four regular Uncle Drew cards and one info card offering details on an Uncle Drew bobblehead on one side and Pepsi’s new Uncle Drew emoji app on the other. In addition, some packs distributed tonight will feature randomly inserted Irving-worn shoe cards. We’ve previewed those below, too.
