The Panini America hoops hobby headlines that began this morning with the revelation that 2012-13 Elite Basketball would include the company's first Dwyane Wade autographs continue this afternoon with a rather seismic sneak peek at two upcoming juggernauts: 2012-13 Select Basketball and 2012-13 Preferred Basketball.

Panini America Preferred & Select Update (55)

The Panini America hoops hobby headlines that began this morning with the revelation that 2012-13 Elite Basketball would include the company’s first Dwyane Wade autographs continue this afternoon with a rather seismic sneak peek at two upcoming juggernauts: 2012-13 Select Basketball and 2012-13 Preferred Basketball.

Both products are in various stages of the development cycle as we speak. The on-card Prizm-technology autographs for Select Basketball are being returned to Panini America HQ at a rapid clip these days; Preferred’s Silhouettes, Panini’s Choice Awards and Preferred Signatures cards landed late yesterday afternoon, literally hot off the presses from the printing facility.

These and any other finished Select cards that arrive in the coming days will join their cardboard counterparts back at the production facility to await collation and packout. These Preferred beauties are being counted, cataloged and QC’d at this very minute before being shipped to their repsective NBA stars for signing.

Regardless of where they are in the process, they’re absolutely worth admiring. We’ll continue to provide updates on these products in the coming days and weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance, so stay tuned. Until then, though, feast on this eye candy . . .

  2. Those Select autographs look incredible! The Silhouette prime autos were some very highly sought after inserts last year so its great to see them return this year. Thanks for the preview Tracy!

  3. Great looking products. I really like the technology and design of Select, but these initial cards look very similar to Prizm. I am sure the overall set has enough differentiation for both brands to be good additions the the basketball collecting lineup.

Preferred was my favorite product last year and I am really excited for it this year. The Silhoeuette’s are stunning. Definitely will be looking forward to getting my hands on a few of them. Do you know approximately how many patch silhouettes will be falling per case?

    Thanks for the preview

  4. I have to agree that Select looks like Prizm ver 2.0. C’mon graphics team! Silhouettes are beautiful like always.

  5. Wow I can’t keep my jaw from staying opened. Stunning stuff to say the least. Can’t wait for some of these highly anticipated releases!

The Silhouettes though have my attention the most!

  7. Wow! Looks really Promising! Those Looks great Just ready to get A John Hancock on them!
The Select will be a favourite in chase of those Finite 1/1 Prizm and Preferred as always will be the Alpha Dog of all cards!

  8. These are some awesome previews of a couple of products that I’m very looking forward to. Those Silhouettes have always been one of the sickest cards I’ve ever seen. Any chance that Rudy Gay signed in any of these products? Thanks for the preview Tracy!

  9. Oh MY !!! A Van Exel Auto Patch ! Maybe his Best card ever seen ! Silhouettes, Preferred and Select Auto have actually an excellent design. You guys (and ladies) at Panini America deserve an A+.

  10. Those jersey cards are so sexy! The things I’d do for that Irving card…. Lol keep it up guys! The players over the cut jerseys is a really cool idea and look!

  11. Awesome stuff Tracy !! Looks great and those Select cards really have some pop to them!! I always love the silhouettes and the Panini’s choice awards cards, so this will be some big chases for me. Keep up the great job, and I look forward to seeing more B-ball cards as they are made.
