Collectors have come to embrace the short-printed splendor surrounding Rookie Card variations randomly tucked into Prestige Football every year.

For the 2011 edition, due out everywhere May 25, the company delivers the goods again on some of the most collectible rookies selected in the 2011 NFL Draft.

In addition to the base Rookie Card versions for all 100 rookies that are seeded one per pack in 2011 Prestige Football, Panini America on Wednesday afternoon announced that 17 of those players will also appear on short-printed “Draft Day” variations that fall roughly one per box.

Headlining the limited lineup are No. 1 overall pick Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers and fellow first-rounders Von Miller (Denver Broncos), Marcell Dareus (Buffalo Bills), Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Mark Ingram (New Orleans Saints).

  1. “Love the short prints in this set”.I just checked my e-mails,,I see you guys are having another contest. Thanks, mine will be in tonight!!!!!!!!!

  2. Dude. Thank you. I remember busting a large amount that I won’t admit to of 2009 Prestige and while I loved the SP, I hated the fact that they were “BLUE” Jersey or “SIDEWAYS”

Someone holding a Jersey is a hell of a lot easier to pick out of a pile.

It also adds continuity to the SP set which is nice.
