Drool Gallery: The Early On-Card Autograph Arrivals for 2011-12 Certified Hockey

It seems like just yesterday that we were closing the book on Panini America's historic first season in the NHL with the release of 2010-11 Dominion Hockey. But in another sure sign that the hockey trading card season never truly ends, know this: In the span of the next month or so, we'll have released our first two products of the 2011-12 NHL season.

It seems like just yesterday that we were closing the book on Panini America’s historic first season in the NHL with the release of 2010-11 Dominion Hockey. But in another sure sign that the hockey trading card season never truly ends, know this: In the span of the next month or so, we’ll have released our first two products of the 2011-12 NHL season.

We’ll drop the puck at the end of October with 2011-12 Score Hockey, then follow it up a few weeks later with 2011-12 Certified Hockey.

In light of that, and in an effort to properly honor the start of the 2011-12 NHL season earlier this week, we figured an exclusive sneak peek at some of the newest on-card autograph arrivals for Certified was in order. What you’re about to see represents just the tip of the iceberg as it relates to 2011-12 Certified’s autograph content, but it will give you keen insight into the star-laden, generations-spanning signatures you can expect.

Enjoy the gallery, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of our upcoming hockey products.

  1. First off, Tracy, this is a Saturday, dont you get any days off from the best job in the world?? :). Hopefully you have the rest of the weekend off to enjoy. But, anyways, These are very nice. The gold Teams standout big time. I kept scrolling up and down and those looked great and I could easily pick them out. I really like on card autos, but I like sticker graphs as well. Throwback threads are sweet as well.

  2. Tracy,
These are awesome! Featuring guys like Randy Moller and Pronger wearingnthe Whaler jersey is one of a kind. This is what I am talking about, your attention to history and detail is second to none.
What about a Giguere in the Whaler logo? Or a St. Louis with the Flames?

      1. i think that we are ALL still waiting on a bunch of these cards. It a shame that Stepan still hasnt signed alot of his stuff. There are only a few cards of his i am missing and the #197 is one i wish would hurry along already.

  4. Checking out these photos and my response is a big “WOW”. I have to admit I was no fan of last year’s Certified, sticker autos and parallel hell. But here, the card design for Eternals, Freshman Sigs, Collision Course, and Gold Team is AMAZING. With on-card autos to boot. You’ll notice I didn’t metion Throwback Threads in the above statement – because as a long time hockey fan, that subset is BEYOND amazing. Atlanta Flames, Barons, Rockies? Those are amazing looking cards, well designed. Great photos, and plenty of room for an auto and a prominent logo. To me, that looks like a subset I will want to chase. Can’t wait for the checklist!

  5. still waiting on my 2010 PaniniCertified
    Mirror Red Freshman Fabric Signatures
Redemption #194 any word on when it will ship out??
