Early Domination: Heavy-Hitting Autograph Arrivals Power 2014 Donruss Baseball

From the very first mention that Panini America was bringing the iconic Donruss Baseball brand back to the diamond in 2014, the anticipatory buzz has been palpable. Now that we're roughly three weeks away from the release of that throwback sensation, it's time to start showing off some of the goods. And we'll begin with a really quick six-pack peek at what just might be 2014 Donruss Baseball's sweetest autograph inclusions: The Elite Dominators.

I could attempt to wax poetically about how I think the Dominator insert will absolutely dominate as soon as 2014 Donruss Baseball releases in late February. But if a picture’s really worth a thousand words, the following 6,000 or so words should do the talking for me. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance in the coming days for additional updates on 2014 Donruss Baseball.

  1. absolutely (yaya wrong set lol) beautiful! Hope & can’t wait to see what the Rated Rookies & Diamond Kings look like! Griffey still has one of the prettiest autos EVER!

  2. Loving the way the autos pop off the “fractalized” card! And that is one sweet assortment of autos!
Looking forward to an auto checklist. Thanks for the glimpse, Hackler ?

  3. I love the retro Donruss set! I did a lot of business with those guys! Good to see the nod to Donruss brand love it aloha!

  4. I don’t collect autos but if I happen to pull one of these, that may change! I am REALLY excited to see the 2014 Donruss cards in hand!

  5. That is an awesome looking set. Well done. Great to see Panini making an effort to create cool looking, well designed, aesthetically pleasing autos despite not having an MLBPA license – that’s a tough obstacle!

  6. Those look awesome. Love the on card auto. Are there going to be different levels or parallels and serial numbering? Just curious. Can’t wait to see more. I think you’re going to give Topps a nice run for their money.

  7. BACK ONLINE from ice storm power outage central-Chester County PA. 4 days with no power, but now we are back online!!!

Wow-these certainly do bring back memories!! My first numbered card I ever got out of a box was a 1993 Joe Carter Elite (/10000!!!!!). Very exciting back in the day. Too bad 10 months later he eliminated my Phillies from the 1993 World Series!!
