Finally, after three weeks of wild speculation and even wilder eBay bidding trends, we present to you, for the first time anywhere, print run numbers for the highly coveted 2010 Playoff Contenders Football Rookie Ticket Autographed Rookie Cards.
One of the most asked questions these days among passionate football folks has nothing at all to do with the NFL’s expiring CBA, Cam Newton’s 40 time or whether or not the Green Bay Packers have what it takes to repeat. No, the most prolific query making the rounds is something much more collecting focused.
“When will Panini America release short-print quantities for 2010 Playoff Contenders Football?” I’m glad you asked.
On Monday, we began slowly revealing answers with the list of SPs from the product’s Legendary Contenders Black Autographs insert. We followed that up Wednesday with the skinny on short prints found within Contenders’ captivating Super Bowl Tickets Black Autographs.
But we’ve saved the most anticipated revealation for today, for right now. Finally, after three weeks of wild speculation and even wilder eBay bidding trends, we present to you, for the first time anywhere, print run numbers for the highly coveted Rookie Ticket Autographed Rookie Cards.
Clearly, you’ve waited long enough. What follows is the complete list of Rookie Ticket SPs with quantities of 500 or less. This list, it should noted, was tucked away in the Panini America vault alongside the product’s pioneering Golden Tickets.

Where’s Carlos Dunlap?
He’s not an SP.
That stinks for those who were spending $100+ for him.
Maybe the list shouldn’t have been revealed? Only three cards with less than 100 produced? The value on all my cards just dropped and they weren’t that high BEFORE the list came out!
How about the quantities of the Tim Tebow with “GB2” or “Go Broncos”?
Are you going to release any information about the different Tim Tebow Inscriptions? Also for the variation cards does does that mean as an example for Tim Tebow there are 400 regular rookies and 400 variations or 400 total for the 2 cards combined?
Thanks
400 of each.
really surprised by the miller but figured there could not be that many <100 tickets
Wow, no really Super SP’s. That’s surprising.
tracey when is panini going to list the dunruss rated rookie nfl sets on the drop down menus so i can make tickets out on the damaged autos i have to get replaced. Its been a while now.
thanks chris
Looks like the big winner here is Legarrette Blount owners. The guy has very few rookie autos and rookie cards in general. And really nothing high end except for the Contenders auto that’s listed at 287 made. Not bad for a rookie who rushed for a ton of yards in just a part of a season.
It figures that the one guy I want, Blair White (MSU Alum), is the most short printed of the entire group. Guess I will have to wait a few years when the prices drop a little bit.
Why on earth does Contenders have Blair White autos in the set when I’ve had a redemption in for the last 3 months now on a Classics Blair White auto? If he’s sending autos back for a product released in February, what is the hold up on his autos for products released 5 months ago?
Ouch….all those people who spent crazy cash on Dunflop
Yes…i still have my eric berry!!
Is there confirmed quantities on the Tim Tebow inscriptions?
GB2 specifically
Working on the Tebow inscriptions quantities now.
I have a Tim Tebow “Go Broncos”. I have only seen 2 sold on Ebay. What is the Print run for this inscription?
Wheneill these totals be listed?
Also, when will the rookie ink print runs be listed?
Is panini going to release the inscriptions quantities for Aaron Hernadez, I have seen “Chico” and “Chico Suave”.
Let me see if I can get that list from product development.
Anyword on the inscriptions quantities for Aaron Hernadez, I have seen “Chico”, “Chico Suave and now ” Go Pats”
Andrew Quarless is not a short print?
This list doesn’t seem to reflect early ebay sample sizes and prices. Interesting.
Tracy, are there variations for the redemption’s of #221 Dwyer and #226 Williams??
Can you tell us the quantities of the cards that have 500 or more?
is Sergio Kindle an SP?
You show Danario Alexander as card #121 when he is actually card #130. You have Dominique Curry as card #130 when he is actually card #121. So is Alexander print run to 190 or is Curry?
none are really sp only the blair white, most have 500 and up.
Tracy please do not forget about this, Anyword on the inscriptions quantities for Aaron Hernadez, I have seen “Chico”, “Chico Suave” and now ” Go Pats”.
OK, I just confirmed with our product development folks that Hernandez signed five each of those variations for Contenders. Hope this helps. Sorry for the delay.
Thanks, you ROCK!!!
I have 5 redemption ,all playoff contenders 2010 have not seen any update of them being sent out to the masses, to the customers.3 of my 5 are in the short print list,of the 500 of say spikes#109 how many would be put aside for redemption purposes and how many would be placed on the shelves for sale. Also why is the card in Beckett stating it is an exchange.
Hey Robert, the card is in Beckett as an Exchange because it is a redemption. That’s Beckett telling you that card needs to be redeemed.
If the card is a redemption, it means that the player has not signed the cards and sent them back to Panini yet, and so when it came time to package the cards, they didn’t have them, so they were forced to put a redemption card in the packs. Then whenever the player finally sends their autos back to Panini, Panini starts fulfilling the redemption cards. It isn’t a situation where half the cards go to the shelves and half are held back for redemption.
What it means is that Spikes hasn’t signed his cards yet. When he does, Panini will immediately send it out. If he doesn’t within your selected time frame, Panini will send you a similar card if you want.
I couldn’t have said it better myself, Paul. Thanks for the assist.
Paul thanks for the information,I know nothing of the process,I’m new to the hobby .
