LOS ANGELES -- A fan-packed booth and plenty of California sunshine greeted Panini America for last night's first game of the 2014 NHL Stadium Series inside Los Angeles' legendary Dodger Stadium. While the Anaheim Ducks took down the Los Angeles Kings on a temporarily frozen baseball field, fans who stopped by the Panini America booth were treated to free Stadium Series cards, free packs of 2013-14 Score Hockey, free copies of the official 2013-14 NHL Sticker Album and free commemorative Stadium Series stickers to put in them.

Today, Panini America will follow the NHL Stadium Series roughly 2,400 miles east — and seemingly as many degrees south on the thermometer — to a frigid Yankee Stadium for this afternoon’s tilt between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils. To help keep fans and collectors warm, Panini America officials will once again be distributing free goodies, including selected singles from an eight-card Stadium Series set that features Martin Brodeur, Sidney Crosby, Anze KopitarHenrik Lundqvist, Rick Nash, Teemu Selanne, John Tavares and Jonathan Toews.

The NHL Stadium Series will stay in New York for Wednesday’s matchup between the Rangers and New York Islanders before ending March 1 in Chicago’s Soldier Field when the Blackhawks host the Pittsburgh Penguins. Panini America will celebrate the 2014 NHL Stadium Series on Saturday by bringing Devils superstar Adam Henrique to Bob’s Sports Cards and Memorabilia in Howell, N.J., for a free public signing.

Before we go add another layer for today’s Stadium Series game, we thought we’d leave you with a quick gallery that includes some great shots from last night’s event in Los Angeles, a sneak peek at the set-up inside Yankee Stadium and a card-by-card breakdown of Panini America’s Score-inspired 2014 NHL Stadium Series promo set. Enjoy.

  1. I’m pretty jealous of anyone able to get to any of the Stadium Series games this year. The NHL just does events right.

And If anyone gets some of these packs and doesn’t want their Nash card, I can give it a good home. 😉
