Football’s Hottest Youngsters Gather at NFLPA Rookie Photoshoot

Still riding the high from hearing their names called at last month’s draft, the NFL’s brightest young talents gathered in California for the annual Rookie Photoshoot. Held at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks from May 14-17, 2025, the RPS is about more than just snapping pictures.

It allows the highly graded studs (Rated Rookies, if you will) a chance to get their feet wet and become acclimated with the league. For many, it’ll be their first time wearing their professional uniforms in full.

They’ll also keep their hands busy by tossing the pigskin around between shots and by letting their autograph fingers fly. Panini exclusive athletes will provide plenty of penmanship for collectors to get excited about.

Once it’s picture time, there’s more to do than say cheese. Action shots simulate in-game action and provide a sneak peek into how a player will look on Sundays next fall. Panini Instant First Look Cards will be uploaded to the Panini website in real time, allowing the most eager of collectors to get a head start on their newest PCs.

Notable rookies attending the event include: Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Jalen Milroe, Shedeur Sanders, Tyler Warren and Quinn Ewers. Keep an eye out for those players and many other rookies popping up on the Panini Instant portal, and stayed tuned for a behind-the-scenes recap from the event.
