Game-Day Gallery: Panini America Reveals Part 3 of its “Crucial Catch” Collection

October 16, 2011

The NFL and its players have taken a decidedly pink tint to the field in October with the kickoff of the league’s annual “A Crucial Catch” breast cancer campaign, a partnership with the American Cancer Society focused on the importance of annual breast cancer screenings for women.

Throughout October, NFL players, coaches and referees will wear pink game apparel on fields with pink ribbon stencils and with special game balls and pink coins to help raise awareness for this important campaign. And in every stadium across the country, you’ll also find special pink Panini America trading cards, too.

The company produced two special “A Crucial Catch” trading cards for each of the 32 teams in the NFL using the 2011 Gridiron Gear Football design. Although the strikingly hued handouts will be distributed all month long in-stadium, there’s a good chance that collectors could find them as surprise inclusions inside packs of 2011 Gridiron Gear when that product releases in November.

In addition, all pink apparel worn at games by players and coaches, along with special game balls and pink coins, will be auctioned off at NFL Auction, with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society and team charities. The NFL is also selling special pink apparel on its online store.

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance all month long for a running gallery of the 64 cards in Panini America’s special Breast Cancer Awareness set. This week you can sneak a peek at 10 new teams, including the New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers. You can also check out our first two 10-team galleries here and here.
