Gridiron Gold: Panini America Offers Gilded Glimpse at 2015 Prizm Football (Gallery)

Over the course of the next three weeks or so, the NFL market will heat up considerably in hobby shops and in online breaks across North America. Panini America will see to that by fanning the football-collecting flames -- first with the release 2015 Playbook Football (October 28) and then with the release of 2015 Prizm Football (November 4). While we're awaiting our first real preview glimpses of the former, it's worth noting that we struck a veritable preview goldmine of sorts for the latter.

Over the course of the next three weeks or so, the NFL market will heat up considerably in hobby shops and in online breaks across North America. Panini America will see to that by fanning the football-collecting flames — first with the release 2015 Playbook Football (October 28) and then with the release of 2015 Prizm Football (November 4). While we’re awaiting our first real preview glimpses of the former, it’s worth noting that we struck a veritable preview goldmine of sorts for the latter.

Earlier this week while I was back in the Product Development department, I was struck by the unmistakeable Gold Prizm shimmer of something on Brand Manager Tim Trout’s desk. Turns out it was a staggering stash of early samples showcasing Gold Prizm versions of 2015 Prizm Football’s die-cut Hall of Fame, Fireworks, Rookie Revolution, Air Marshals and NFL Helmet inserts.

In the gallery that follows, we bring you a front-row seat to those samples. We think your excitement level for 2015 Prizm Football will most certainly increase after you see them. Enjoy and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

  1. Ugh…. Just when I am hitting my spending limit on trying to get all of the Packers variations for 2014 Prizm, I have to see THIS? Geez, Panini, let my wallet recover!

Seriously, though…. Please tell me that the Packers don’t have over 380 different variations of cards including autos! I have around 300 different at the moment from 2014 (not including the jerseys or Rodgers autos, which I don’t have any of), and I don’t want to imagine what my credit card bill will be at this time next year because of 2015 LOL

  2. Having experienced the thrill of unearthing a gold Prizm myself, I can tell any collector on the fence about buying Prizm that these cards are truly impressive to find. Great preview of the 2015 football campaign, can’t wait to see more. Thanks Tracy!

  3. Wow, those are beautiful! Panin: Masters of the Die-Cut. Are there autographed versions?
Apologies for not being as active as I have been, I no longer receive the Panini blog piece in email. I can’t figure out why that should be. If anyone else has encountered this, please respond. I’m logged in to both TKL & WordPress.
