How Panini America Spent Friday Night: On Location with Edmonton’s Taylor Hall

Starting your weekend by working late might not be most folks' idea of a rockin' Friday night. But Alex Carbajal isn't most folks and his job isn't most jobs. As the NHL acquisitions guru for Panini America, Carbajal is always ready with Staedtlers and cards in hand when duty calls.

Starting your weekend by working late might not be most folks’ idea of a rockin’ Friday night. But Alex Carbajal isn’t most folks and his job isn’t most jobs. As the NHL acquisitions guru for Panini America, Carbajal is always ready with Staedtlers and cards in hand when duty calls.

And duty called on Friday when the Edmonton Oilers and young superstar Taylor Hall came to town for a Saturday afternoon tilt with the Dallas Stars. Carbajal sat with last season’s No. 1 overall pick at the Oilers’ team hotel, where Hall added his indelible penmanship to collection-making cards from upcoming releases such as 2011-12 Limited, 2011-12 Certified, 2011-12 Crown Royale and 2011-12 Dominion.

While carefully ripping through his required allotment of autographs, Hall discussed with Carbajal his propensity for reading books on the road and impressed with his expert-level understanding of the college football scene in America. Now as always, Hall remains one of the most impressive young skaters in the game.

You can enjoy his more recent handiwork in the Carbajal-generated gallery that follows.

  1. Glad to see one player doing his part.So how do I get my hands on the signed box top or is that for Alex????? It would be nice if some of the other players would be so nice and sign their redemptions seems like I wait forever for the bigger names.
Oh what was the desision on the pair of Dominion autos from the Russian players??? I was first to suggest they be sold and proceeds go to charity wondering what was the outcome.
    Thanks
