Immaculate Connection: Kobe Bryant Joins Panini America for Key Signing Session

After what seemed like an eternity on the road, Panini Authentic's Brian Bayne arrived back at Panini America HQ this morning lugging a surprisingly sturdy two-handle fabric bag that rivaled Bayne himself in terms of weight. While the precious cargo safely secured inside that bag was the real reason for me crashing Bayne's office first thing this morning, I at least made it seem like I was happy to see him back in the office.

After what seemed like an eternity on the road, Panini Authentic’s Brian Bayne arrived back at Panini America HQ this morning lugging a surprisingly sturdy two-handle fabric bag that rivaled Bayne himself in terms of weight. While the precious cargo safely secured inside that bag was the real reason for me crashing Bayne’s office first thing this morning, I at least made it seem like I was happy to see him back in the office.

But once the small talk subsided, Bayne was nice enough to let me check out his most consequential of carry-ons — the super-premium results from his weekend signing session with the incomparable Kobe Bryant that included a new array of items for Panini Authentic, cards from a few past releases, and cornerstone inclusions for the upcoming 2013-14 National Treasures Basketball and 2013-14 Immaculate Basketball products.

In the picture above, Bryant is adding his indelible penmanship to his 2013-14 Immaculate Basketball Logoman 1/1; in the gallery below, you can check out a small sampling of the other treasures he signed. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.
