Inside NT: International Treasures, Notable Nicknames, Prime Memorabilia and More

Panini America 2013-14 National Treasures Basketball Notable Nicknames & International Treasures Main 2
Think you’ve seen just about everything Panini America has in store for next week’s release of 2013-14 National Treasures Basketball? Not quite. Although we’re now exactly seven days away from the product going live, we still have more goodies to reveal. Sure, we’ve shown you Treasured Tags, Sneaker Swatches, Springfield Swatches and more — yet more wonders await. Like the product’s Notable Nicknames insert . . . and the International Treasures insert . . . and some downright dirty prime-memorabilia options in the Air Apparent, Career Materials and NBA Materials inserts.

We’ve provided a little bit of all of that in the preview gallery that follows. Consider this your final NT appetizer before we get to our final two sneak peeks: One focusing on the product’s stacked autograph roster (including the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Manu Ginobili and more), the other on a little something we like to call “Logomen.” But we’ll get to those in a day or so. Until then, sit back, relax and feast your eyes on these . . .

  1. UNREAL! Love the 3 jerseys of the same player on different teams. Love the International Treasures, and Notable Nicknames. Heck I love them ALL!

    1. I see your point on this but I want to give credit where credit is due. Panini has, in my opinion, made huge strides in making the windows bigger on “everyday” jersey cards. As examples, I site Past & Present Gamers, Limited Lights Out, Gold Standard Black Gold & Whie Gold, among others. Those swatches are oversized and very nice…..especially if you’re lucky enough to hit a Prime version. My biggest issue with jersey cards are the die-cut words that are often overlaid on the jersey piece. If the swatch is just “jersey”, then the card is fine but if you’r looking at a patch version through the “busy-ness” of the die cut, the details of a nice patch are so frequently obscured.

  2. yummy! I might just get my hands on one of the Mailman autos…love the flag design and the patches…love the Moses Malone patches!

  3. Air Apparent cards look terrible with the color fading out of them as the image gets lower. Not that I’ll ever be able to afford any from this set anyway, The multi-team relic cards are pretty cool. I’m trying to place on the jersey where the black dots come from on Robert Horry’s Rockets jersey. Also, I had no idea Kelly Olynyk was from Canada. With that info not included on cards from Panini, I have no real way of knowing (I don’t have the time to go read 450 player profiles on NBA.com)
