BACKInternational Collectors Have a Choice when it Comes to 2018-19 Prizm Basketball
Panini America’s wildly popular 2018-19 Prizm Basketball product has spent the last few weeks commanding collector attention in the states in both hobby shops and, more recently, in mass retail outlets such as Target and Walmart. But showcasing the domestic impact of 2018-19 Prizm Basketball tells only part of the story. Collectors in other countries are experiencing some Prizm passion of their own this season with the international-exclusive Choice version of the product.
2018-19 Prizm Choice Basketball arrived in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and more at about the same time it arrived in retail destinations in the states. But it did so equipped with some chase-worthy Prizm parallels that can’t be found anywhere else — foremost among them the unique Tiger Stripe Prizms. Other Choice-exclusive Prizms include Blue, Yellow & Green, Red Pulsar (numbered to 88), Green Pulsar (numbered to eight) and Nebula (1/1). There are also Choice-only versions of the Signatures, Rookie Signatures, and Sensational Signatures inserts printed on exclusive Kaleidoscope card stock. Each signature set features a Green Pulsar Prizm version numbered to eight.
On average, each hobby box of 2018-19 Prizm Choice Basketball (eight cards per box, 20 boxes per case) delivers one autograph, two Silver Prizms, three Blue, Yellow & Green Prizms, one Red Pulsar Prizm and one additional Prizm.
