Luck Would Have It: Panini America Shares Newest Auto Arrivals from Four Sports

Yeah, you could call Thursday a lucky day -- or is that Luck-y day? -- at Panini America headquarters. With sincere apologies for the extremely bad pun, you can understand my goofy giddiness at peeking the stellar shipment of on-card autographs that arrived this morning.

Yeah, you could call Thursday a lucky day — or is that Luck-y day? — at Panini America headquarters. With sincere apologies for the extremely bad pun, you can understand my goofy giddiness at peeking the stellar shipment of on-card autographs that arrived this morning.

Let’s start at the top with Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, who returned a beaming batch of prime signatures for inclusion in, well, 2012 Prime Signatures Football. As you can plainly see above and in the gallery that follows, Luck — who’s been nominated for 2012 Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week honors twice in the first three weeks — is as impressive and consistent with a Staedtler pen in his right hand as he is with a football.

Fittingly, fellow rookie Dwayne Allen — Luck’s tight-end teammate in Indy — returned his Prime Signatures autographs today, too. So did Tampa Bay rookie running back Doug Martin. But there’s way more than football to drool over below. Indeed, it was a four-sport-mail-call kind of day that included, among other standouts, Steve Nash’s first Lakers autographs, and equally impressive ink from James Worthy, Matt Kemp, Steven Stamkos and more.

Most of what you’re about to see is slated for upcoming products such as the aforementioned 2012 Prime Signatures Football and 2012-13 Threads Basketball; but in the cases of Kemp and Stamkos, those autographs were included as redemptions in recent products.

Enjoy this sneak peek and, as always, stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional updates.

  1. All I can say- hot damn! The on-card auto’s are gorgeous!!! Thanks for listening to your consumers’ request for more on-card autos, less sticker autos. Marvelous!!!

  2. Wow…Prime Signatures is really standing out this year! The thick cards, white background, high gloss, and patches really make it nice overall looking product.

  3. The NFL Prime Signature are looking great, nice clean card with a solid on-card signature. The Nash card made me shed a tear (Suns fan here), but the Ceballos card made up for Nash in a Lakers uniform.
