Hockey collectors, rejoice: 2012-13 Prime Hockey is coming. And in advance of the product’s August 28 release date, The Knight’s Lance is planning a series of jaw-dropping, drool-inducing preview galleries documenting the massive release known for mammoth memorabilia, must-have Rookie Cards and the game’s greatest legends.

An impromptu trip to the Panini America production facility yesterday morning provided enough arresting Prime visuals to last at least two or three more galleries. We’ll begin with today’s, which includes a tip-of-the-ice-rink teaser featuring a little bit of everything.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for additional galleries in the coming days as the countdown to 2012-13 Prime Hockey continues.

  1. Those rookie patch cards are ridiculous – I don’t have the kind of hobby budget where I can buy Limited and Prime willy nilly, but you’ve sold me on at least one box. Just gorgeous.

  2. To paraphrase Corey Crawford’s championship rally speech, these cards are the biggest bunch of beauties around.

  3. 12-13 Prime is a great product! I really like the big patches and design. I would love to break a box of this outstanding product! Great job Panini and keep up the good work!

  4. Not sure how you did it but I think you just topped Prime from last year. Unbelievable looking cards. can’t wait to crack open a couple boxes. If I had the cash I would be buying a case of this stuff.

  5. those cards are amazing !!! i just opened five boxes of last years prime and i was very pleased !!!! this years just topped it !!!! i can’t wait !!!

  6. WOW!.. To be 100% honest I thought last years Prime would be garbage.. After 8 cases I wished I would have pre-ordered. I will not make that mistake this year! I have many cases locked in. These cards are downright everything I would expect.. then blow away by miles. The Cup will not get any of my money this year.
