In terms of NFL trading card releases, they don't get much bigger, better or more anticipated than Panini America's National Treasures Football. And since every indication so far has led us to believe that 2012 is the biggest, best and most anticipated of them all, well, we have a special way to kickoff 2012 National Treasures Football Release Week.

In terms of NFL trading card releases, they don’t get much bigger, better or more anticipated than Panini America’s National Treasures Football. And since every indication so far has led us to believe that 2012 is the biggest, best and most anticipated of them all, well, we have a special way to kickoff 2012 National Treasures Football Release Week.

For starters, we have a special behind-the-scenes video (shot from the floor of the Panini America production facility) that details the first Quality Control box of the product being opened and revealed. But that’s not nearly revealing enough. So after the quick video recap of that box, we provide a comprehensive gallery detailing the results of the other three boxes from that first case.

First, enjoy the video:

  1. Pretty sick, lot to like in this gallery, that Nick Foles is pretty sweet, and the RG3 also awesome, best thing about this product though is the wide assortment of RC’s, Vets, and retired/HOFers, you never know what you might get or see!!!

  2. Can’t Wait ! Especially if every box is going to deliver 9 hits. Thanks for the preview Tracy, and Hi Ben 🙂

  3. National Treasures looks very impressive (doesn’t it always). If that was an average case, I think there will be a lot of happy collectors this year.

    Thanks for the preview.

  4. Wish the price for this stuff was lower. Feel like only case breakers can afford this stuff and then charge want ever they want for them in the secondary market. That $500 mark is my rent money. This is as close to seeing a case of this stuff as I can ever get. Sucks.

  5. Such a beautiful design…love the Black & White photos on the Legends cards. Only complaint is that the AJ Jenkins has the #88 patches we’re seeing in every product when he is actually jersey #17. The Rookie Premier uniforms weaken the value and in the highest of high-end products you’d think there would be actual game used memorabilia instead of “event” worn.

  6. Impressive preview between the video and the gallery, I’m honestly confused by the patches in the AJ Jenkins booklet though. Can you explain how a player whose jersey number is 17 can produce a patch that looks very clearly like an 8? Overall I love what I see though! Thanks Tracy!

      1. Thanks for the response Tracy, I see others had the same question on YouTube so thanks for addressing that!

  7. Awesome looking cards. A suggestion that I think might help this product is if each box comes with 9 hits? It looks like for $500. Then sell mini boxes for $250 with 4 to 5 hits that way collectors with a limited budget could experience some of National Treasures Dynamics. Also, do I hear an intense hard to find scavenger hunt approaching? 😉

  8. Great looking product! Just one question: Will Boxes come in the wood box like previous sets or in a tin like 2012 NT Baseball?

  9. Insane stuff!! Very excited to start cracking into these boxes. Like the added books and the HOF pullouts. Thanks for the preview Tracy.

  10. Next week can’t get here fast enough!!! This looks like it will be the BEST NT ever!! Great job Panini and I hope I cut a LOT of haircuts this week and next week so I can buy 2 boxes instead of just one. Keep up the great work Panini and great video Tracy!

  11. Mick Barnes @sdbolt32 Nice Job Tracy.I also loved the Logos ou did in the other preview.Cant wait Love the product and the Best Card Company.

  12. Pleasantly surprised 🙂 The live cards look a lot better than the mock-ups and pre-release galleries. In prior posts they looked very plain w/ too much white empty space on card. These seem to “pop” more and definitely dont look so boring. My tax refund came in last week so I ended up ordering a second case…Ben Ecklar may end up being my best friend or worst enemy! hahahaha jk 😛 Thanks Tracy…going to bed with visions of RPA’s dancing through my head, hehe

  13. Tracy—confused. Says 8 cards per box in selling but the video says there is 12 cards per box. In your box break, box 3 only has 11 cards. Is it 8, 11 or 12? Box 3 has no booklet so there should be 12 cards.

    1. Must be my non-existent accent! Happy to say I was at Tark-en-ton’s final game vs. Dallas Cowboys in Texas Stadium!

    1. Just realized i messed up its JPP not Cruz lol. 90 not 80. Guess need my eyes checked esp after attempting, giving up, on scavenger hunt despite wanting RG3 bad

  14. Very nice and clean, I love how the patches are orientated to make the most out of them like the SeaHawk head. I was VERY impressed there was not a rather large SQUEEE from you when you saw that nice Elway card Mr Hackler.

  15. The product looks great and myself and our shop customers are very excited. If the breakdown is 9 auto mem and 3 commons per box, we will all be that much more excited to get this product in our hands.

I think you guys have yet another hit on your hands!

  16. Very simply, can’t wait. Tax refund is late but thankfully..well..it’s good to know people who own card shops that can wait a week for 25% of payment for my first case…if it goes well enough I think I see a second case in my future…going to work with visions of on-card legend’s, and that AJ Jenkins you guys pulled, dancing in my head (like that other guy said earlier up about sleeping…) hahaahhahaha….5 DAYS!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
