National Intrigue: Panini America Previews Its Redemption Prizes for the 2011 National

There's no rest for the weary here at Panini America (not that any of us are complaining). As last Friday afternoon turned into last Friday evening, I was crammed into our unusually hot main conference room along with fellow marketing comrades Scott Prusha and Chris Reed participating in the Herculean task of cataloging every last one of our wrapper-redemption prizes for the 2011 National Sports Collectors Convention.

As one of the top two vote-getters in our Knight’s Lance Readers Choice Weekend poll, this story is being brought to you by . . . well . . . you. The following gallery showcases just some of the Panini America wrapper-redemption prizes for the 2011 National Sports Collectors Convention.

Hey, when you’re talking about almost 2,000 autographed items, it can be a labor-intensive process. But it’s a small price to pay to once again deliver an absolutely show-stealing edition of our successful wrapper-redemption program.

This year, in addition to the live-card gems available in our shiny foil packs, we’re also randomly inserting instant-redemption cards good for some of the autographed memorabilia we’ve acquired over the last few years, including 8 by 10s, mini helmets, hockey pucks, basketballs, our popular oversized display cards and so much more.

The following images will give you just a taste of what we prepped well into last Friday night. We also have a few tricks up our sleeves that are sure to dazzle you as well.

  1. Are there going to be any contests this year on Facebook (or Twitter) for the unlucky folks who can’t make it to the National?

  2. Wow!! Great prizes!! Wished i lived closer to go to the event and try to win something myself. But, I am happy to see this stuff anyways. Pretty sweet giveaways!! Good luck to you that go!!

  3. i’m going to the national sat and sunday. how do i get involved in this giveaway. also i redeemed my blake hrx auto. anyway i can get that shipped to take with me to the national?

  4. Those are awsome redemptions specially the ones that you can instantly redeem. Now why don’t you try and get the redemptions to people that have been waiting months. It is a trying task but hey the international is only seeing a small fraction of the collectors in the world. What about us that have been waiting months. Nothing to show for our hard earned money that was spent on product. Except to be determined or waiting on player to sign.Come on guys get with it.

    1. Hi Mark – Thanks for the feedback. We do our best to get the redemptions out as soon as we get them. Currently Customer Service is working diligently to getting a great number of redemptions out this week. It is a process and we love to get them to you, our customer as soon as possible. Have a great Tuesday!

      1. Any clue what would take a suh Limited auto redemption so long to ship? I put the redemption in 4 months ago and the card has been live for like 6 months. Just curious as I have had zero luck getting anybody besides the machine when I call “Customer Service”.
        Thanks

  5. I just bought every Panini product in the Erie area. Looking back the “Cars 2” stickers are probably not part of the redemption, but my daughter will love them! 🙂

      1. In the past I have always bought product from my LCS and just opened it at the show. Do they actually have to be purchaed at The National?

      1. Ha Ha Ha… thanks, buddy! We’re coming in on Friday and the whole family will be at the show on Saturday. I am even more excited after seeing all of this amazing stuff! I’m guessing you have not slept in about a month?

  6. The last time I went to the National, I only attended one day, and barely had enough time to make it from one end of the dealer room to the other. I didn’t even attempt to do any redemptions. So, I’m excited that I am going all 5 days and will have enough time to shop, talk to people and get some con-exclusive cards. Good times ahead.

  7. Thanks for holding contests for those of us unlucky people who can’t attend. Great job with the actual memorabilia given away at the NSCC. That’s awesome. Can’t wait to find those types of redemptions in boxes someday! (Please?)

  8. That Karl Malone HOF auto makes me want to cry knowing that I have such a small chance to get it. Just like the movie Dumb and Dumber, and the 1 in a million, I still have a chance.

Lloyd: Hit me! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
    Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: [Gulps] You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I’d say more like… one out of a million.
Lloyd: So you’re telling me there’s a chance. Yeah!

  9. As the time gets closer, I can’t wait to see what this is going to be like. In Baltimore, you guys had the best cards, and this year will be no different. Only problem is… Should I crack a case of Americana or what?

  10. Hi, I was the lucky receipient of the Adrian Peterson 8×10 in the pics and i was wondering if you knew how many of them were given out at the show. Thanks,

    Jeff
