Nebraska Volleyball: Hauntingly Good Huskers Secure 38th Straight Home Win

With Halloween creeping closer and closer, we wanted to highlight one of the most hair-raising teams available in Panini America’s growing NIL program: Nebraska volleyball. Always reliable for a screamingly good time, Nebraska chose to celebrate Halloweekend by delivering a prolific performance against Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The nation’s No. 2 team terrified Michigan during its 3-1 victory while sprinting toward its 17^th straight win. That win also marked the team’s 38^th consecutive home victory, tying its longest home win streak since it took home 88 in a row from 2004-09. That record is certainly a treat to go along with all the tricks the team handed out vs. Michigan. Another, even better treat would be picking up trading cards for some of Nebraska’s most influential and impactful players.

Over the course of the match, sophomore star Harper Murray was incredible, notching a whopping 17 kills (marking a team high) with a .333 hitting percentage. The fantastic No. 27 also added three aces.

Senior Merritt Beason continued the incredible output with 16 kills of her own, plus a team-high .370 hitting percentage. She also contributed three aces and three blocks.

Andi Jackson dropped 10 kills and five blocks while Rebekah Allick handed out five kills and five blocks, and Bergen Reilly dished out 42 assists while adding 10 digs. Rounding out the contributions, senior Lexi Rodriguez notched 14 digs.
