NFL Stars, Kids Offer Highlights Aplenty at 2014 Panini Pop Warner Skills Clinic
NEW YORK — Friday night inside an action-packed Field House at Chelsea Piers, Panini America and Pop Warner joined forces for the 7th Annual Panini Pop Warner Skills Clinic as 150 players from New York-area Pop Warner programs were treated to expert coaching — and memories of a lifetime — thanks to NFL stars EJ Manuel, Jason Pierre-Paul, Denard Robinson, Jeremy Kerley and Sean Landeta.
The result: Wall-to-wall smiles on seemingly every face in the house (especially the guest coaches), football fundamentals across four sprawling drill stations and a true night to remember just two days before Super Bowl XLVIII.
Two-time Super Bowl champion Sean Landeta ran clinic participants through a rigorous cone drill, JPP taught kids the proper way to hit with the use of a tackling dummy, Manuel spent the night throwing various routes to eager kids, and Robinson and Kerley drilled participants on the finer points of route running and receiving. Meanwhile, upstairs in the VIP area, Panini America officials entertained and interacted with business partners, players and special guests, including Panini Super Bowl Kid Reporter Curtis Case, who got the opportunity to interview the all-star cast of guest coaches.
At the end of the night, every Pop Warner player in attendance received an exclusive Panini Pop Warner autograph from each of their guest coaches.
