NT, Hoops Highlight this NBA Finals Game 2 Edition of the Panini America Routing Table

Inspired by tonight's most pivotal NBA Finals Game 2 between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat, I flew like Jason "The Jet" Terry back to the fruitful, four-legged phenomenon known as the Panini America Routing Table looking to satiate my hoops jones.

Inspired by tonight’s most pivotal NBA Finals Game 2 between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat, I flew like Jason “The Jet” Terry back to the fruitful, four-legged phenomenon known as the Panini America Routing Table looking to satiate my hoops jones.

What I found was a basketball spread fit for King James.

Indeed, occupying the Routing Table this morning was a basketball bounty that included splendid new looks at 2010-11 National Treasures, 2010-11 NBA Season Update and even 2011-12 NBA Hoops, all awaiting varying degrees of internal approval.

Before you feast your eyes on the gallery below, know that much of what you’re about to see is in the early stages of development (extremely so in the cases of Season Update and Hoops). So don’t be alarmed if you see, for example, mismatched photos and names, placement for sticker autographs vs. on-card signatures or other obvious oddities.

Now as always, most everything on the Routing Table is in an extremely early stage in the production process and will often include “For Position Only” player and team names, “dummy” card-back copy and first-wave photos that will change between now and release time.

But there’s still no better place in the industry to get early glances at tomorrow’s most collected cards.

  1. I like the Kobe Hoops card. Is that the base design?

I like that is harkens back to the original design, only upside down. When I look at it reminds me of the 1989 set, but it took me a minute to figure out why. The arch design on that first set is pretty iconic so flipping it on this card is pretty clever.

  2. Riddle me this!

Why is Kobe on a card labeled “Dirk Nowitski”?

Anyway, the design on National Treasures I like this year. The only thing that makes me a sad panda is sticker autos. But the design looks good.

I also enjoy the photography on NBA Hoops. Big pictures spread across the card without a frame…looks great.

    Thanks Tracy!

  3. Are those Julius Erving AUTO!?!?!…i don’t recall him being in any other products before. And those Phil/Rodman and Phil/Kobe autos are really nice. Nice Work!

  4. Cant wait but i got a Rear question for you is there gonna be any Xavier Henry autos in this set? And is Lebron James signning any cards for you guys?
____—-Thanx for your time peace out—–____

  5. It looks like in National Treasures will have a ton of “Clear Sticker” autos. It’s disappointing but I hope that will not be the case with the RPA’s. Will it?
