On the Production Floor: 2011 Donruss Elite Football, 2010-11 Totally Certified Basketball

Judging by yesterday's incredibly ascending view count on The Knight's Lance, we're assuming that most collectors by now have seen the gawk-getting gallery we posted showcasing the splendid production-floor peeks of 2010-11 Dominion Hockey.

Judging by yesterday’s incredibly ascending view count on The Knight’s Lance, we’re assuming that most collectors by now have seen the gawk-getting gallery we posted showcasing the splendid production-floor peeks of 2010-11 Dominion Hockey.

That goldmine of images was captured during our Tuesday visit to the Panini America production facility, at which time we also grabbed some literally dazzling early looks at 2011 Donruss Elite Football and 2010-11 Totally Certified Basketball.

We teased these images earlier this week. Today, we make good on that promise.

What you’re about to see — including Totally Certified’s mesmerizing rainbow array of parallels and Donruss Elite’s shimmering-yet-still-uncut New Breed memorabilia cards and Passing the Torch cards (pre-autographs) — is a captivating look at the continued evolution of the card-making process, from the Routing Table to the production facility floor.

Oh, and because we know you simply can’t get enough Dominion coverage, we’ve also included a brief video of that provides a different perspective on the gallery you saw yesterday.

And now, to the Dominion video . . .

  1. More Dominion all the time! I really can’t get enough of that product. I really need to save up some more PayPal at least for a taste of it!

I love seeing more of those Down and Distance cards too, probably my favorite insert set from Elite I’ve seen.

Finally, I like the use of the team colors on the Fabric of the Game insert sets. Is there a difference between the really sparkly FOTG and the plain reflective FOTG?

  2. WOW!! I REALLLLLLY like the New Breed sub set. Is that a base and relic only set? Possible auto versions as well?? Very interested in putting together that whole series!!!

  3. You all listened. I see shiney/foil cards like the players from the round table and many collectors asked for. I tell you, you guys are THE BEST. You actually listen to us. Bring a tear to my eyes. Thank you. I will be getting some of these too.
