On the Routing Table: February 3, 2011

Leave it to the revealing hearth of the Panini America Routing Table to provide warmth and comfort to a strangely frozen week in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Days marked by wintry mixes, sub-20-degree temperatures and below-zero wind chills left many of us working from home this week.

Leave it to the revealing hearth of the Panini America Routing Table to provide warmth and comfort during this strangely frozen week in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Days marked by wintry mixes, sub-20-degree temperatures and below-zero wind chills left many of us working from home this week.

But when I was finally able to make it into the office, I made a bee line for the always-refreshing Routing Table to see what goodies were being previewed.

It was enough to make me feel warm and fuzzy all over, this first look at forthcoming heavy-hitters such as 2010-11 Pinnacle Hockey, 2010-11 Classics Basketball and 2011 Prestige Football. Here’s hoping the following images are enough to warm your hobby heart this week, too.

You could search all day — and night — and not find better photography than what Pinnacle Hockey has planned or better throwback designs than are featured in Classics Basketball.

Oh, and just a reminder that some of the images you’re about to see include extremely preliminary concepts that incorporate player and team names intended for sizing or design purposes only. So when you see, for instance, Darrius Heyward-Bey‘s name and Tim Tebow‘s face on a 2011 Prestige Football card intended to portray a 2011 NFL rookie, well, don’t be alarmed. As we say in the business, such things are “FPO” (for position only).

  1. I now realize that not only is it fun to check out the latest here on The Knight’s Lance, its an education. I must have graduated to a sophomore because I went straight for the photos without reading the text, saw the Tebow/Heyward-Bey card and thought “Oh, Heyward-Bey must be one of the longest name in football now and they are using it to get sizing.” I remembered this from an earlier post here on the blog. These posts are great and the cards look fantastic. Thanks for letting us inside.
