If you missed yesterday’s riveting Part 1 of Panini America’s three-day 2012 Gridiron Football base-card preview, well, you missed a lot. For starters, you missed a 41-image testament to the unparalleled imagery that makes Gridiron the early front-runner for football’s Photography Set of the Year.

But you also missed your first clue in our weekend-long scavenger hunt for a chance to win an uncut Gridiron sheet to celebrate the upcoming second blogoversary of The Knight’s Lance. Luckily for you, it’s not too late to partake in either.

By accessing yesterday’s gallery, you can gawk at the eye candy while also looking for the first of three images bearing the special second blogoversary logo. Once you’ve identified it, be sure to write down the name of the image that appears just below it in the rotating gallery, Then, check out today’s second installment for more intensity-drenched images, including one bearing the blogoversary logo.

Once you’ve discovered today’s special image, take note of its name. That’s two down. All that’s left now is locating one more special blogoversary image in tomorrow’s gallery. Once you have the names of all three second blogoversary images, post them as a comment to the original post.

Enjoy the following images and enjoy the contest. We’ll be back tomorrow with our final batch of images.

  1. I really like your decision to have Tebow praying – not Tebowing, which might look like you’re goofing on him, just praying with teammates on the sideline. I’m not religious – this isn’t about me just agreeing with his faith – but I think you’ve really captured who this guy is, both in sports and in culture.

  2. OMGoodness!! I am in LOVE with Tebow’s card…First card produced showing someone praying? TOTAL WIN!!:-) Kudos to u Panini & Tebow for not being too proud or embarrassed to pray in front of millions! #GoingToBeChasingThatCard!:-)

  3. I am really confused on this contest- I have found the first 2 but I am either not getting it or whatever but I dont see any comment- and from what I have read its the comment not the actual player card that we are looking for. I enjoy panini contest but I am not getting this one- can someone please help me so I dont feel so stupid

    1. Sorry for the confusion. Here’s the deal: Each day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), we’ll post a different Gridiron gallery. One card in each gallery will include the special Knight’s Lance second blogoversary logo. Once you’ve identified that card in the rotating gallery, jot down the name of the image that appears just below and just to the left of it in the gallery. As an example, the name of the Aldon Smith card in Saturday’s gallery is “Panini America 2012 Gridiron Football Base 42.”

After Sunday’s gallery, you’ll be able to identify the third and final card. Once you have the names of all three special images, simply post them as a comment to the original Friday gallery and you’re entered.

      Hope that clears things up.

      1. Yes Tracy that does clear it up and about 5 minutes after I made the post I realized that I was having a minor brain fart and figured it out but thank you so much for clearing it up…. One again man let me know where I can get a memorabilia/auto card of u like the ones that were at nationals….. I need one for my collection…..

  4. Again, I 2nd a lot of the comments on the Tebow card. Agree with him, or not, if you want to capture the essence of a player, that was certainly a great photo to use for him. Thanks also for the clarification on the contest, as I originally wrote down the player’s name who appeared on the card, but have since written down the other info. Welcome to my world, Tracy-the students seem to always question the instructions, whether or not they were clearly worded (hahaha).

  5. Here are the pictures titles:
The Knight’s Lance is turning 2!
Panini America 2012 Gridiron Football Base 65
Panini America 2012 Gridiron Football Base 73

    Great looking cards!!
