Panini America Announces Agreement with the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks

Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, and the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed a multi-year marketing and game-worn memorabilia agreement.

In addition to game-worn memorabilia, the Dallas Mavericks will work with Panini Authentic to sell unique, limited-edition championship memorabilia from the 2011 NBA Finals games played at American Airlines Center and promote Panini America NBA trading cards. Panini America is the exclusive trading card and sticker partner of the NBA.

The partnership represents the first team memorabilia deal for Panini Authentic, which previously had worked exclusively with professional athletes from every major sport including the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks’ game-worn jerseys, uniforms and Championship memorabilia will be available to collectors at Panini Authentic Panini Authentic will implement the same authentication process it has used with the NBA’s biggest stars to ensure that every game-worn item adheres to Panini Authentic’s strict authentication and certification process.
“We are pleased to announce the partnership with the Dallas Mavericks and our Panini Authentic group to bring Mavericks Championship memorabilia and 2011-12 game-worn uniforms to collectors and Dallas Mavericks fans,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop.

Among the exclusive inventory at Panini Authentic right now are autographed jerseys worn by the Dallas Mavericks on Dec. 25, 2011 — when the team raised its 2011 NBA Championship banner.

  1. That puts over-priced, self-aggrandizing Upper Deck Authenticated on notice that a new sherriff has come to town.
    I wonder if Panini will include any such memorabilia in products as redemptions. Pulling a redemp’ for a full-jersey, etc., would be quite impressive. Any way you slice it, this is a big development. Congratulations, Panini!
