After more than two weeks of gradually revealing the identity of the short-printed Rookie Ticket Autographs RCs that have kept collectors guessing — and buzzing — since 2010-11 Playoff Contenders Hockey released on May 18, we’ve reached the final reveal.

Since we felt that releasing all of those Rookie Card SPs at once would kind of remove all the mystery, we leaked them gradually over a few weeks, starting with the first two then two more, then two more, then one more. But today, the gradual reveal ends. See a full gallery after the jump of all 10 Rookie Ticket SPs, all limited to 399 copies or less.

  1. I know that it was mentioned previously that panini is known for producing uncommon sp’s, but I honestly cannot believe that Kadri was thrown into this mix. He had an awful season compared to someone like Stepan who carried the Ranger’s who were offensively challenged throughout the season. @ Dr. They announced that the sp’s were out of 399…and that the ssp’s were less than 99 or something like that.

  2. Good to know…..
I had quite a day at my local card store… picked up 2 packs of Contenders Hockey and 3 packs of Contenders Basketball….. I wasnt cheering for Boston in Hockey but I pulled a Tyler Seguin RC and also Rookie of the Year -Purple #/100 and
even better in Basketball.. pulled a Celtics RC auto patch and ….
Dwyane Wade Championship Ticket #1/1 – I guess I am cheering for Miami now ..lol

    Was a pretty good day

  3. Nice list of SPs. I like the card design and the inserts are nice as well. Had some great luck myself with Contenders, bought out 10 packs of the box and got McRae, Reaves and Hamill rookie autos and the last pack hit a Doan/Iginla dual auto. The Doan/Iggy card was the one realistic odds card I was hoping to open, so good day.

While putting together the base set, I noticed something that bugged me a little though. My favorite team, the Phoenix Coyotes, has no representation. I understand it is a small set, but it seems like you could fit one or two base cards in. In total there are only two Coyotes cards (OEL rookie ticket and NHL Ink quad auto) and one Jets card. It is a little disheartening to know I could buy 3 or 4 boxes of Contenders and probably only see 1 or 2 cards from my favorite team.

Is this going to be the norm in the smaller sets Panini is putting out (Luxury Suite/Dominion)? I don’t expect near equal representation, for every Yotes fan out there there is certainly a thousand Penguins fans, but I’d like to know I have a realistic chance of getting something from my team in new product.

  4. it seems that Reaves and McRae go hand-in-hand in boxes… have seen numerous online breaks where they were seeded together. my box was like that too. didn’t bother me at all, given that i am a Blues fan/collector. also… pulled a Subban and Seguin out of that same box. 2 sp’s in the same box??!?

  5. Hi Tracy,
Hey I pulled that Redemption card for # 116. Can you tell me who and what it is and if it’s autographed please? Thank you, I can’t seem to find anything anywhere.
    Dave in Mass.
