Panini America, College Basketball Legends Unite for 'March Memories' Brunch Event
Some of the greatest figures in the history of college basketball will join Panini America officials during Final Four weekend for the company’s inaugural March Memories Brunch. The day before two teams will decide the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at AT&T Stadium, college coaching legends Jim Boeheim and Nolan Richardson will be joined by Final Four heroes Christian Laettner, Clyde Drexler, Danny Manning and Ralph Sampson for a star-studded panel discussion emceed by TNT’s Ernie Johnson.
Brunch attendees will be treated to a live jazz band and a feast fit for kings before settling in to hear some of the greatest March Madness stories ever told by the luminaries who lived them. Panini America officials also will have at least one surprise announcement to make at the brunch that will significantly impact the company’s 2014-15 NBA trading card roster.
When the panel discussion ends, attendees will have the rare opportunity to mingle with panelists before receiving a special March Memories Black Box as a one-of-a-kind parting gift.
“This is one of the biggest sports weekends of the year and we’re honored to be able to bring together these college basketball icons to help us celebrate the occasion,” said Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Vice President of Marketing. “More than just sharing so many great memories from our panelists, this event allows us the opportunity to highlight our presence in the NBA in front of so many VIP guests.
“Many college stars have already declared for the 2014 NBA Draft and many more headliners will declare when the tournament ends Monday. The first deal most of them will sign in the NBA will be with Panini America for our trading cards. This March Memories Brunch event helps reiterate our commitment to the NBA and to NBA players — from rookies to legends,” added Howarth.
Also during Final Four Weekend in Dallas, Panini Authentic will serve as the official autograph and silent auction sponsor of The American Cancer Society Coaches’ Huddle.
