Panini America Delivers a Pre-Packout Peek at 2014 Spectra Football (67 Must-See Pics)

While many of us from Panini America have spent the last few days at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis securing autographs for our first products of the 2015 NFL Season (2015 Contenders Draft Picks Football, anyone?), many others stayed back at HQ to put the finishing touches on the final products of the 2014 NFL season, including 2014 Spectra Football, one of three remaining powerhouses that will conclude Panini America's 2014 NFL calendar.

Panini America’s Football Product Development Team began the pre-packout process for 2014 Spectra Football late last week in advance of the product’s March 4 release date. Luckily for all of us, Assistant Brand Manager Thomas Barchi used his smartphone to document just some of the gems he came across during the process. In the pre-packout gallery that follows, we combine Barchi’s images with some of the other 2014 Spectra Football images we’ve captured during the development cycle to bring you a revealing pre-release look at the product.

Trust us when we tell you, The Knight’s Lance will have more coverage of 2014 Spectra Football in the coming days. But for now, sit back and enjoy this tip-of-the-iceberg glimpse into a product bolstered by colorfully etched Optichrome technology and on-card autographs from the top 2014 NFL rookies.

  1. I saw the Panini Helmet logo on cards 3–er, Oops!

Guys, Spectra looks awesome! It’s a flashier version of Select, and the on-card autos (as well as the auto duos) are beautiful! Touchdown Teddy is my favorite! Thanks again for the preview!

  2. Is the per box/case breakdown for this years’ Spectra Football going to be changed to be more similar to the 13/14 Spectra Basketball product? Love the Kurt Warner w/ the black and white photo!

  3. The Mike Evans Bucc’ patch auto is utterly filthy; LOVING IT. The Kurt Warner auto is also a beauty!

What’s the MSRP on this product, Tracy?
Love the die-cuts and robust jersey swatches!

  4. 2014 Contenders Football was outstanding, exceeding customers’ expectations with an average of 6 highly collectible autographs per box. 2014 Immaculate Football had customers going crazy busting box after box, and coming back the next day for more. Now with Panini Spectra, Black Gold and National Treasures around the corner, Panini has turned a great football year into a year collectors will never forget.

    Way to go Panini America!

    1. While over-saturation is always a risk, Panini has managed…through some very talented designers and brand managers, to design and execute very well-imagined products.
That each of the products has its own identity, niche and “brand-specific” insert and parallel line is no easy feat.
Without hyperbole, 2015 brags the strongest lineup of Football products I’ve ever laid my peepers upon.

Hats (or helmets) off to all of Panini, but a double head-bob to the creative departments!
