Here's one surefire way to know that a new trading card concept has found critical and commercial success: It follows suit in other sports. Such is the case with Panini America's popular, acetate-driven Clear Vision concept. It made a stirring debut in the NFL last season because it was clearly different -- by design -- and because it delivered a scarce list of top-tier autographs and key memorabilia cards.

Here’s one surefire way to know that a new trading card concept has found critical and commercial success: It follows suit in other sports. Such is the case with Panini America’s popular, acetate-driven Clear Vision concept. It made a stirring debut in the NFL last season because it was clearly different — by design — and because it delivered a scarce list of top-tier autographs and key memorabilia cards.

The successful debut for 2015 Clear Vision Football has paved the way for the introduction of 2015-16 Clear Vision Basketball, due out in hobby shops across North America in early April and packing many of the brand staples that released to rave reviews last year. 1. When I saw some of the football ones on one of the blogs last year, I stated that I liked them so much it almost got me to chase them (I have zero interest in football) and that I wished that they would be in my preferred sport…and now, they are! Another great release from the 2015-16 season. I’ve always loved clear plastic cards, since I got my first in a non-sports set more than 20 years ago.

  2. So no guarantee of an auto or jersey? Thats pretty ridiculous, guess they didnt see High Tek!!! $70-90 per box for what? RC`s of guys that are in the D league. Where is all the value going in the hobby or am I missing something?

  3. Clear Vision produced some of my favorite cards from the 2015 NFL campaign, this is a great looking adaption of the program to basketball. Quick question – based on the language of this early product description, am I to understand that there is no guaranteed jersey and/or auto per box for this release? I believe the football version had at least one relic or auto hit per box, while the above reads “two Rookie Cards, two parallels numbered to 149 or less and one insert” but no clear statement on the aforementioned traditional “hit” ratio. Thanks Tracy!
