Panini America 2017 Contenders Draft Picks Basketball Main

Few will argue that the 2017 NBA Draft Class is one of the most exciting young crops to enter the league in years. And that notion was entrenched before many of the group’s top picks sent shockwaves throughout the NBA Summer League with one high-flying performance after another. The presence of Lonzo Ball, Jayson Tatum, Markelle Fultz, Dennis Smith Jr. and so many more has basketball fans and collectors genuinely excited for the trading cards and highlights to come.

In late August, before this stacked rookie class has a chance to officially make its first impact in an NBA uniform, Panini America will honor its collegiate legacy with the release of 2017 Contenders Draft Picks Basketball.

Set to release in hobby shops across North America on August 30, 2017 Contenders Draft Picks Basketball delivers the popular College Tickets subset featuring autographs from the top draft picks and paralleled by numbered Draft Tickets, Playoff Tickets, Championship Tickets, Cracked Ice Tickets and Printing Plate 1/1s. On average, each hobby box (18 cards per pack, six packs per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver six autographs, one parallel, 35 Season Ticket base cards, 35 Season Ticket Variations and 30 inserts.

The highlights of the product are many and include . . .

  • Hard-signed RPS College Tickets and Variations make their basketball debut.
  • New to the mix this year is an NBA twist with the Legacy and Legacy Signatures insert with college legends in their NBA uniforms.
  • Look for three new parallels featuring new print technologies in the Diamond Ticket (numbered to 15), Building Blocks Ticket (numbered to 10) and Fame Ticket (numbered to five).
