Panini America’s vibrant and brawny Totally Certified Basketball franchise has a well-documented reputation among passionate hoops collectors of producing some of the most sought after, high-value singles in the sports collectibles marketplace. From base parallels to autographs to memorabilia, the product’s rich Green and Gold parallels annually deliver some downright staggering sales.

And when 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball and its brilliant microetching hit the hobby in late November, that trend is sure to continue. But for the new-look edition of Totally Certified, the Panini America NBA Brand Development team also is injecting a few new twists.

Once again this season, Totally Certified Basketball will include an autograph or memorabilia hit in every pack, along with base, Memorabilia and Signature cards paralleled by Silver, Red, Blue, Gold, Green and Black versions; the Blue, Red, Gold, Green and Black Memorabilia versions all will include prime pieces of material.

Also returning for 2013-14 is the popular Rookie Roll Call Autographs insert featuring signatures from 40 top rookies. As for those aforementioned “new twists,” 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball will warmly embrace the see-through acetate card stock for the first time on new inserts such as Select Few, Ballot Busters, Future Stars and Present Potential, all including autographed versions.

We’ll have much more information on 2013-14 Totally Certified Basketball, which includes a 300-card base set, right here on The Knight’s Lance in the coming weeks. But until our next update, enjoy this extended sneak peek . . .

  1. I am super stoked for the 13-14 season, I loved totally certified before but I love the look of the new base/parallel, I will be finding some Michael carter Williams cards from this set, cannot wait!

  2. Nice. FINALLY a Malone auto from Utah Jazz Uniform!
Thanks. Been waiting to snug an auto of him.
Its nice to have him in his proper Uniform.
Great choice for nut pulling the bid on Leaf Malone auto!
Definitely Totally Certified by the NBA and Hall Of Fame.
Hopefully you could get MJ as well.

  3. It’s a little concerning to see the acetate cards in more and more products. I personally don’t care for these types of autos for the following reasons: 1) They’re not all on card, 2) The stickers look especially bad on the clear card stock, 3) Most are not serially numbered.

My advice? Keep the acetate cards in Elite. Keep the Prizm cards in Prizm (and Select I guess). Keep the products distinct from each other, rather than homogenize the entire 2013-14 product line up.

  4. Awesome looking cards. I might just have to pick up a box or two..hey Tracy In the future you guys should have a contest where an insert set of a Panini brand is shown. And people have to suggest what the insert set should be called for example “Floor Generals”. The winner chosen by Panini would then get that insert named of their choice and win a little prize as well. Let me know what you think-

  5. COOL CARDS, LOVE THE MALONE AUTO. TRACY, THANKS FOR GETTING ME A MY SON A COUPLE OF THE SULLINGER AUTOS AT THE NATIONAL. YOUR THE BEST

  6. Nice to see you added Karl Malone to the lineup! Certified is honestly my favorite product in all of the Panini products. Will you be lesaving any products from the 12-13 lineup for new ones in 13-14?
