Fans attending tonight’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and the visiting Memphis Grizzlies will be treated to much more than a pivotal Western Conference showdown. They’ll also be treated to three free Panini America trading cards as part of a continuing tribute to the Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki, the greatest player in franchise history.

The special promotional set includes 15 total cards — 10 cards featuring current Mavericks players and a special 2014-15 NBA Hoops Basketball design and a five-card Moments of Greatness subset devoted to Nowitzki’s defining career achievements. The set will be distributed three cards at a time (two NBA Hoops cards and one Nowitzki card) over the course of five different games.

The first six cards were distributed during Dallas Mavericks games on March 10 and March 16, respectively. Tonight’s three cards include Rajon Rondo, Devin Harris and a Moments of Greatness card honoring Nowitzki’s 2011 NBA Finals MVP Award. The giveaway will conclude during upcoming Mavericks games on March 24 and April 2.

Included in the gallery that follows are all 15 cards in the set. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for updates, including the possibility of a special 16th card — featuring new Maverick Amar’e Stoudemire — to follow in the coming weeks.

  1. That’s a great card set, but what about if we don’t go to games and want to get hold of it?
I will love to have it in my collection…………………………………………….

  2. Wish I could get these. Living in NY and not being able to physically go to games anyway means each of these promo sets is essentially rarer than gold. I would be more than happy to buy them off the team store, even at a premium.
