Panini America Offers Detailed First Look at 2015 Contenders Football (Preview Gallery)
Frequent visitors to The Knight’s Lance got a sneak-peek treat a few weeks back by catching an early glimpse of some of the new Rookie Card designs coming later this year to Panini America’s 2015 edition of the landmark Contenders Football brand. One of the most widely embraced and revered brands in sports card history (and the undeniable “Home of the Autographed Rookie Card”) is ramping up for another spectacular run in 2015, thanks in no small part to a deep and talented 2015 rookie crop.
2015 Contenders Football is slated to release on December 30 and each hobby box (five cards per pack, 24 packs per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver five autographs (with at least one to two on-card), three Pennants, two Rookie of the Year Contenders, one MVP Contenders, one Legendary Contenders and two additional inserts.
The highlights of the product are many and include . . .
- The return of the coveted Autographed Rookie Tickets, including autographed versions of Playoff Tickets, Championship Tickets, Cracked Ice Tickets, Super Bowl Tickets and Printing Plates.
- Each hobby box delivers a staggering five autographs, including one to two on-card autographs from players who attended the 2015 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
- Look for autograph variations, including Rookie Ticket RPS College Variations that feature the top NFL rookies in their collegiate uniforms.
- Find dual autographs of the future of the NFL in Round Numbers Dual Autographs (numbered to 25 or less).
- Golden Tickets (1/1s) and Silver Tickets (numbered to just two) featuring the top NFL legends, veterans and rookies.
- Rookie Ink delivers autographs of the top rookies including Gold (numbered to 25) and Holo Gold 1/1 versions.
