Panini America 2016 Score Football Main

Here we are just one week removed from last Sunday’s epic Super Bowl 50 clash between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos and yet, many collectors have already turned their NFL collecting attention to the upcoming 2016 season. And even if there is a little Panini America work left to be done for 2015 (namely Black Gold Football, Luxe Football, National Treasures Football and Flawless Football), we can certainly appreciate such forward thinking.

To that end, today we’re offering an extended first look at the 2016 edition of the iconic Score Football franchise which plans to return better — and definitely bigger — than ever. 2016 Score Football Hobby Jumbo is slated to arrive in hobby shops across North America in late April and each box (40 cards per pack, 10 packs per box) will deliver four autograph or memorabilia cards (at least three autographs), 60 Rookie Cards, 20 parallels and a whopping 40 inserts.

Now as always, Score Football will be dressed to impress as the first NFL release of the new season. The highlights of the product are many and include . . .

  • The first officially licensed Rookie Cards from the 2016 NFL Draft Class; look for six Rookie Cards per pack.
  • A huge 440-card base set featuring 330 veterans and 110 rookies.
  • At least two base parallels and four inserts per pack; find a bevy of base parallels for both veterans and rookies, including Gem Masters 1/1s.
  • One Printing Plate per case.
  • Look for autographs from the top players in the 2016 NFL Draft Class, along with the following autographed parallels: Scorecard, ShowcaseGold Zone, Artist’s Proof, Red Zone, First DownEnd Zone, Gem Masters and Printing Plates.
  • All-Americans takes a look at recent collegiate All-Americans from the past few years. In addition to the base version, look for Red, Green, Gold and Black parallels, along with special sequentially numbered versions available only in Hobby Jumbo packs.
  • Dual Draft Signatures features dual-autograph cards from some of the best players taken in the same NFL Draft over the past eight years.
  • Find both Inscriptions and Score Signature autographs which feature NFL greats such as Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees along with future stars like Marcus Mariota, Amari Cooper and David Johnson.
  • Look for triple-jersey cards from NFL teammates, including Prime versions numbered to just 10 or less.
  • The beautiful Team 8s memorabilia cards feature eight teammates — and eight memorabilia pieces — one one card (four pieces on each side). The cards feature prime swatches and are numbered 1/1.

We’ll have plenty more on 2016 Score Football Hobby Jumbo in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. Until then, though, enjoy this first extended sneak peek:
