LOS ANGELES — The cavalcade of football’s newest trading card superstars continued Friday for Panini America at the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere, kicking off bright and early with a special one-player shoot at the fabled Rose Bowl to accommodate early-departing Arizona Cardinal Michael Floyd.
Floyd spent a few crisp, early morning hours yesterday posing for photographs and conducting interviews wearing his full NFL uniform for the first time because, come first thing Sunday morning, he’ll be wearing a more important uniform — a cap and gown as he graduates from the University of Notre Dame.

So as soon as Floyd completed his Panini America rotation Friday (interview, action photography and a few different studio settings) he was heading directly to the airport to catch a flight back to South Bend. Panini America officials, however, were headed back to the host hotel for another solid day of autographs rotations.
Friday’s guest list included No. 1 overall pick Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts teammates Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen, No. 3 overall pick Trent Richardson of the Cleveland Browns, Brian Quick of the St. Louis Rams and DeVier Posey of the Houston Texans.
Later Friday afternoon, across town on the UCLA campus, a different Panini America contingent was briskly setting up shop for the NFLPA Premiere League celebrity flag football game and a steady of evening of distributing Panini America NFL stickers and albums.
It’s captured all in the riveting photo gallery below. Enjoy this extended look back at Day 3 of the 2012 NFLPA Rookie Premiere. Up next: Exhaustive coverage from Saturday’s headline event followed Sunday by your chance to win a slew of Inscriptions autographs from this weekend’s superstar rookies.
