Panini America On Location: Day One at the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo (Must-See Gallery)

TORONTO, Ontario -- The puck dropped on the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo on Friday afternoon with a brisk November breeze outside the Toronto International Center and a scorching hot Panini America booth inside. From open to close, the Panini America booth reverberated throughout the facility with steady wrapper-redemption lines, Box Wars, eager Panini VIP Party qualifiers and enough 2013-14 Select Hockey being broken to fill seven industrial-sized trash cans with shredded wrappers.

TORONTO, Ontario — The puck dropped on the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo on Friday afternoon with a brisk November breeze outside the Toronto International Center and a scorching hot Panini America booth inside. From open to close, the Panini America booth reverberated throughout the facility with steady wrapper-redemption lines, Box Wars, eager Panini VIP Party qualifiers and enough 2013-14 Select Hockey being broken to fill seven industrial-sized trash cans with shredded wrappers.

All the while, Panini America Customer Service Manager David Sharp spent the first few hours of the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo redeeming more than 100 cards as part of the company’s Live Redemption Trade-Up Program that will continue through the weekend. Saturday promises to draw even bigger crowds, more of just about everything mentioned above and the Panini VIP Party. But before we get started today, we wanted to bring you a quick gallery of yesterday’s highlights.

Among our favorite scenes from Friday: One of the cutest Panini America NHL “Sticker Albums” you’ve ever seen, the Panini America #PaniniDoubleRookieClass girls posing with Baseball Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins and Rollie Fingers, a slew of great hits from Select Hockey and so much more.

Check out the gallery to see what we mean and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo and Saturday’s Panini VIP Party. You can participate in the Expo wrapper-redemption program while supplies last at iCollectPanini.com.

  1. Thanks for torturing me with these pictures! 🙂 Wish I was there again this year to take part in the fun! I have a bunch of old redemptions I would have traded up, and the box wars are always a good time. Definitely will make it out next year!

  2. Great pix! Wish I could be there. Toronto is a great town! We visited Casa Loma, the Toronto Zoo and the Science Center as a family a few years back on vacation (along with, of course, the Hockey HOF).

Anyway, get a NUFEX Masks card of that Panini hockey mask!! Very cool.

Loved the CUSTOMER SERVICE patch card lineup in the display case as well.

Hope to get to see you guys at the Super Bowl FanFest and the NHL draft party next year!!

  3. Hi, I noticed on the black box page that there was this #PaniniWildCard. What does this mean and does this mean that people not at the expo can win a black box? Thanks!

  4. There’s nothing like the fun and excitement of a Panini at a big event like this. I’ve got to make my way up north for one of these soon.

  5. I bet there is another 3-4 dozen b-roll shots of those ladies, using excuses like lighting issues and such just to keep snapping photos. Wow. And there’s some of the booth and cards I guess too. Thanks Tracy!
