TORONTO, Ontario -- The final day at the 2012 Toronto Fall Expo was one for the ages. Sunday started with a longtime Panini collector gifting a vintage 1979 Panini NHL sticker packet and ended with a special visit and signing from newly enshrined NHL Hall of Famer and former Vancouver Canucks megastar Pavel Bure. TORONTO, Ontario — The final day at the 2012 Toronto Fall Expo was one for the ages. Sunday started with a longtime Panini collector gifting a vintage 1979 Panini NHL sticker packet and ended with a special visit and signing from newly enshrined NHL Hall of Famer and former Vancouver Canucks megastar Pavel Bure.  In the midst of the staggering sights, the Panini America wrapper-redemption program continued to offer an unmatched caliber of content and fun.

The autograph pavilion at the Fall Expo provided a star-studded lineup of NHL Hall of Famers — and of course, Panini America was able to capture photographs and autographs from some of the top talent at the event. Here’s a list of the talent that signed autographs for fans:

  • Phil Esposito, Hall of Fame 1984
  • Marcel Dionne, Hall of Fame 1992
  • Gilbert Perreault, Hall of Fame 1990
  • Pavel Bure, Hall of Fame 2012
  • Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors 2011 1st Round Draft Pick (#5 Overall)

Below you’ll find a delightful gallery we put together of our final day in Toronto. In addition to providing can’t-miss images from the show, we’re also going to be awarding some sweet prizes, including Expo-only autographed cards and wrapper-redemption packs. And all you have to do to be eligible to win is comment on your favorite photos from the event, beginning with Friday’s Day 1 gallery, yesterday’s Day 2 gallery and the final gallery on today’s post.

Did you miss out on the 2012 Toronto Fall Expo? Or maybe you made it to the event but didn’t get enough Panini America wrapper-redemption packs?  Don’t worry, there’s still time to participate!  All you have to do is go online at iCollectPanini.com and purchase select Panini products from now through the end of today (while supplies last) and we will send you the same packs that are available from the show floor!

  1. I have a bunch fo favorites 1) All those kids with the smiles of a lifetime, 2) The one titled “Pulled From 1 Box of Dominion” with all those great hits..and then 3) the last one showing the convention floor but still people with Panini shirts still working or opening packs..I think this one captures so many different ideas. Looks like a really fun show! Thanks for sharing the pictures. It is fun seeing what people pulled. Just curious..how many redemption packs were redeemed this weekend? And from those how many were you able to post pictures of ?

  2. Really great coverage of the whole weekend, my favorite picture from this gallery is that great KISS memorabilia. Thanks for all the fantastic photos Chris and the Panini team!

  3. Lots of great photos of people enjoying their hobby! I loved the old Panini Sticker packs the best today. As someone who collected wrappers and such from that time period, I really enjoyed seeing those pieces of hobby history! PS-The RG III with the upside down INS swatch caught my eye.

  4. One of these days I will be able to make it to the expo and I won’t even know where to begin with all the great items available (more than likely to the disapproval of my wife). I have loved looking all of the images from the expo, especially the great pulls people had. I have been blown away by the expo exclusive cards you guys released and have been loving some of your more recent products as well (a lot of which are featured in the above gallery). My favorites have been the path to the cup inserts from Certified. It will be a lot of fun attempting to collect all of them and it allows for team collecters to relieve their teams victories (unfortunately defeats as well, but oh well its still fun!). In addition I have been near obsessed with 11-12 Prime Hockey. The designs as well as the different patches are amazing. Keep up the great work and hopefully I will get to see you guys at the expo one day.

  5. First off THANK YOU Panini America for always coming up to Canada and supporting this mainly based hockey card show. Your booth is always alive and electric and the concepts and giveaways you guys come up with show after show is awe inspiring. Young ones to adults are having a blast and smiles galore each every time something SICK gets pulled!! That’s what you want to see in this industry of ours people of all ages having a genuine great time. Pleasure meeting you Chris and well what can you say about Scotty always the ‘entertainer’. I look forward to seeing you guys back up here in May. Thank You once again Panini America, Tracy Hackler – y’all know how to get her done and done right =D

  6. Looks like another great day with a lot of great cards and happy people! In this gallery I especially like the Vincour patch (absoulutely sick looking!), the “Nuge”/Hall-dual auto as well as the Hodgson/Duchene dual. Matt Duchene plays for my swedish favourite team Frolunda Indians during the lockout, so he have been a sort of favourite player of mine, hehe…

  7. I wish i could’ve gone to the 2012 Toronto Fall Expo. Cards that were pulled look awesome. Here is the list of my favorite card from each day:
Day 1) 12/13 Panini Threads Kobe Bryant Signange Auto
Day 2) Quincy Acy Logo Patch
    Day3) RG III Patch

    Thanks guys 🙂

  8. Looking at the faces of those youngsters brought a brightness to my day. I have had the opportunity to take my son and later my grandson with me to shows and they had the same wonderful looks that made me so happy to have them with me. Thank you for bringing the Expo to my house.

    1. Hopefully someday I can get to any of these shows. I miss out on so much. But least get to see from a distance what they are like!

  9. Looks like I missed some pretty awesome hits by leaving the city a day early. Out of all the booth’s setup there you guys were for sure the top place to be and hang out, always tons going on and everyone having fun. Keep up the great customer care.

  10. i gotta say my favorite photo in today’s gallery is the one of phil esposito signing those mini stanley cups. as for my favorite card today, it’s the nugent hopkins/hall pen pals dual auto. dominion rocks!

  11. Game used shoes…hah! Doesn’t do it for me.

My fav photo is the shot of the girl with the card. My daughter is a big fan sports cards too!

  12. I on the other hand am totally loving the game used Chris Bosh Raptors shoes–what are you guys going to do with them? I also really like the Jonas Valanciunas signed jersey cards! Just AWESOME!!!!

  13. Hard to beat the excitement being exuded in the pic of the boy holding up his jumbo autograph of Marcell Dareus!!

  14. Sweet wrap up! I see Jonas Valanciunas autograph cards! Any way fans/readers of the Knight’s Lance can get their hands on one of them? His first Panini card iirc

  15. Great pictures of the kids cracking packs, focused on their cards, and beaming smiles with their hits. Thanks for bringing smiles to everyone’s faces this past weekend. And shout out to the Panini crew that manned the booth.. you guys did an awesome job. Fave pic is the lot of Valanciunas autos. ‘Til next show Panini!
