Panini America On Location: Packout Begins for 2011 Absolute Memorabilia Football

"Rocket." It's the term we use inside Panini America headquarters for a product that is poised for an explosive ascent on the secondary market and in customer appreciation. Friday morning at the Panini America printing facility, I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with such a rocket.

“Rocket.” It’s the term we use inside Panini America headquarters for a product that is poised for an explosive ascent on the secondary market and in customer appreciation. Friday morning at the Panini America printing facility, I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with such a rocket.

Indeed, 2011 Absolute Memorabilia Football is poised for takeoff.

As we speak, one of football’s most venerable and appreciated brands is in the final stages of the production process and will begin shipping to the collecting masses next week. Although I didn’t get to see everything today while our football product development team — Ben Ecklar, Carlos Torrez and Aik Tongtharadol — put Absolute through a rigorous quality control process, I saw enough.

See what I mean in the gallery below. And be sure to come back d to The Knight’s Lance on Monday for exclusive video coverage of the packout process that includes an on-the-line examination of many of Absolute’s more hit-intensive production loops.

  1. Rocket is also the name of what I believe to be the best Def Leppard song.

I really like the RPM cards this year. It is a nice job of changing it up but also keeping a familier feel.

  2. Im so glad im doing a case of this stuff — Most beautiful cards I think I’ve seen YET! Is it going to be live in stores next week?

Like Nick, I have 3 Rodgers redemptions waiting too. The Prime Cuts (same as Nick), Passing the Torch with Drew Brees and Championship Season Jersey Signature from Timeless Treasures. Can you check on those as well?

        1. Gentlemen, I just confirmed with our NFL acquisitions guru, Joe White, that Rodgers has returned all outstanding autographs. I would assume they’ll be going out in the next few weeks but will check with Customer Service to confirm.
