Panini America on Location: Spending Some Quality Signing Time with Kobe Bryant

Outside of perhaps Kobe Bryant's own family and closest business associates, there's likely not a person on the planet who spends more time with the "Black Mamba" than Panini America's Brian Bayne.

Outside of perhaps Kobe Bryant’s own family and closest business associates, there’s likely not a person on the planet who spends more time with the “Black Mamba” than Panini America’s Brian Bayne.

Bayne, the company’s Memorabilia Business Manager who runs Panini Authentic, is the go-to guy when it comes to autograph acquisition for Panini America’s top-notch exclusive NBA spokesmen: Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and John Wall.

Late last week, Bayne once again answered duty’s call and ventured to Newport Beach, Calif., for an extensive two-day signing session with Bryant to secure signatures for the five-time NBA champion’s 2010-11 National Treasures and 2010-11 Elite Black Box cards.

As you’ll see from the gallery below, Bryant’s regal right hand provided the finishing touches to some of the top pulls from both of the aforementioned products. That he signed the cards while the movie “Thor” played in the background should only add to the superhero aura of the Lakers’ superstar.

  1. Did he get to signing the ones that are redemptions in other products already issued? 2010-11 Limited, Totally Certified, 09-10 Court Kings Lithographs

    1. yes, i am wondering the same, what about the people still waiting on his (kobe) redemptions from totally certified? when will those ship?

  2. WOw, i am so excited to meet Kobe in person!!!!! Ive been watching this dude play his butt off for the last 13 years and win all those champinships and to think i actually pulled the Golden Ticket to meet him still blows my mind! I cant wait!!! Im about to bust another box of GOLD Standard right now, wish me luck!

  3. I am still waiting for the 2010 limited jumbo jersey number auto from Panini. According to your blog, you had it since 7/13. However, your customer service said it is not available.

  4. I want to know when he is going to sign his 2010-11 Rookies and Stars Signatures card. I see that he keeps signing other things that have been released after that product. It makes sense to me to have him sign things as they are released, not because of the value of the card and to make the higher end customers happy. I’ve been waiting on this card since it was released. Not sure how long it’s been but I know it’s been quite a while. Any update on when this card might be signed would be awesome. I’m growing very impatient watching all these other products auto’s come out and this one no getting passed over every time. I quit buying Panini basketball products simply because of this and won’t buy another until I get this card.
