LAS VEGAS — Following weeks of buildup and considerable hype, Panini America officials finally distributed their coveted Black Boxes on Monday afternoon at the 2011 Industry Summit at The Orleans Hotel & Casino.
This exclusive video, shot by company creative director Brandon Lesley, captures the customary frenzy, excitement and collection-making cornerstones resulting from the Black Box receiving line.
Enjoy the inside look. And stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance later today to find out how you can win one of your won
These look absolutely amazing! Some amazing pulls in the video. Definitely makes me wish I was part of the industry.
If you’re a collector, you are. We’re going to run a contest later today that will award Black Boxes to five lucky folks.
Awesome! I’ve got my fingers crossed! And I just have to say that you guys are doing some absolutely amazing work. From innovative promotions like the golden tickets, to simply your refreshing product design, its definitely an exciting time to be a collector!
How many black boxes did ya’ll make?
It’s a pretty limited production. We distributed roughly 230 boxes and had just a few remaining.
Nothing against Mr. Griffin but that Tom Brady with the “Patr…” is the sickest of the bunch.
Is it me or do some of these people seem less than thrilled to open their boxes? These are some of the coolest cards of all time and they’re getting them for free! If someone gave me a high end 1/1 card for sitting through a presentation, I would be more than stoked! Maybe Panini should start selling time shares, I’d sit through a presentation!
If I was in Vegas, getting a free 1/1 card would be the least exciting thing that happens to me all week…
I’m seeing a lot of “You Owe Me” attitudes from these recipients, feeling entitled to get these cards. And DeMarcus Cousins was the 5th overall Draft pick after Turner, Johnson and Favors.
WOWZAS!! Some really unique looking cards, and I recognize a few people in those breaks, one lady runs the hobby shop here in Edmonton, and I recognize a Brad and Geoff for cloutsnchara.com !!
