TORONTO, Ontario — The puck dropped earlier this afternoon on the 2011 Toronto Fall Expo and after almost two days of preparing the booth and tying up loose ends, the Panini America team was ready.

Early reports from Panini America’s Chris Reed, one of our on-location reporters-slash-marketing teammates, can best be summed up with his four-word text sent just minutes after the show doors opened to the public: “Wrapper-redemption mayhem, dude.” That’s what we like to here.

We’re going to bring you exclusive coverage of the event all weekend long, so don’t stray too far away from The Knight’s Lance over the next few days. In addition to providing can’t-miss images and video from the show, we’re also going to be awarding some sweet prizes, including Expo-only autographed cards and wrapper-redemption packs. And all you have to do to be eligible to win is comment on your favorite photos from the event, beginning with this one filled with images of first-day highlights.

Can’t make it to the Toronto Fall Expo this weekend? Still want wrapper-redemption packs? You’re in luck. Anyone buying select hockey products from now through Monday (while supploes last) at iCollectPanini.com will receive the same wrapper-redemption packs being awarded at the show. What are you waiting for?!

  1. Is that stack of pucks prizes from Panini?

I love the pic of the fans showing off their pulls. If I was the guy in the Sabres Jersey, I’d have a huge smile too (ear to ear) after pulling that Brett Connoly Auto from those Silver Packs.

Keep up the great coverage, it’s going to be a long weekend of work.

Please come back for Spring Expo though 🙂

  2. Awesome photos – wish I could be there. There are 2 pics that I love… The one with the gold Stamkos and the one with the Jake Gardiner auto. SWEET! 🙂

  3. Hope you guys are having fun, brings back memories of this years National in Chicago. Sure wish I could be there. I would like to get ahold of those draft tickets because I was able to go to this years NHL draft in Minnesota, was alot of fun.

  4. I hope that doesn’t mean the hockey sticks are just a visual too (which would be my fav pic). If so, I love the creativity, personality and uniqueness of the sketch cards, AWESOME idea from Panini, as always!!! 🙂 I so wish I could be there!

  5. Man, I wish I was up in Toronto for this, some awesome cards and memorabilia sitting around waiting to be gazed upon and drooled at.

  6. Going to try my best to get to Toronto this weekend.

When you are done with the RNH banner I have a bare spot in my office that needs cover. Just putting that out there…… =)

  9. I must say I like the pic where everyones standing around the table busting wax. Makes me wish even more that I was there. The Panini booth looks great and must really stand out in the crowd. And the silver wrappers are always nice. STill love the aritstry by the rookies on the hand drawn cards and the autographed hats are sick. Looks great from here Panini!

On a side note, what in the world is that Ducktales item!! I watched that show when I was young and my sons now watch it. Now only if it was Darkwing Duck….

  10. My favorite pics are the ones of the case with the autos and the multiple golden tickets. Definitely wish I could pull one of those in contenders football this year.
