Amid the compelling cavalcade of on-card autographs hitting Panini America headquarters this week are must-see signatures from upcoming releases such as 2012 Signature Series Baseball, 2012 Prime Cuts Baseball and 2012 Prime Signatures Football.

From its first card to its last, the retired-player-focused Classics Signatures set is the right product at the right time and provides a serendipitous sojourn back in time to hockey’s halcyon days. The old-school designs . . . the throwback color schemes . . . the crisp, bold on-card autographs . . . the insert lineup topped by Notable Nicknames, The Expansion, The Originals and Inaugural Inks . . . it all makes for one classic release.
You can see exactly what I mean in the following images . . .
Great Autos! Must have the John LeClair!
I here you. One of my all time Flyer favorites. Loved watching him play
Labor dispute or not, this gallery certainly inspires awe and and interest in this future release. Great preview as always, thanks Tracy!
So very cool, love to look of these cards and the hard signed is great. Can’t wait for this to go live.
Set looks awesome guys. Great mix of top end players and guys who don’t get enough hobby love. Can’t wait to rip at least a few boxes.

Tracy,
That Vanbiesbrouck in his Panthers jersey is awesome. Will there be short prints for this product? I have to get my hands on that card. When is the estimated Release on this product again?
Thanks,
T
How AWESOME is ur job Tracy..?…that u get to see & handle all these [email protected]$$ cards firsthand…EVERY SINGLE DAY!! *So Jealous! Lol;-)
I know. I’m certainly a blessed dude. But don’t tell anybody.
Lol U got it! *pulls zipper across lips* lol
These are really neat. When does this product get released?
Tentatively slated to release December 5.
Why is hockey’s Notable Nicknames not within the sport’s highest-end product Dominion, like they are for Baseball, Football and Basketball?
I’m loving the look of this product! Just wondering if you will be informing us on how many autos will be included per box and what the base cards will look like soon too? Great product to release during a lockout!
Autographs fall one per pack.
Not bad but some of the card/auto selections are rather weak (Matteau, Fotiu, Courtnall). Depending on the price point if my auto was one of the mentioned I may be disappointed as they would only sell for $3-$5.
Loving the incribe nicknames.
Cool cards!
Is Justin Schultz gonna be in your products this year?
I may mass collect those Cloutier autos. Thanks for bringing a variety of players, not the same old same old, as much flak as you may get for a “weaker” selection, I enjoy seeing the likes of players who don’t get a lot of hobby love get in. The set is extremely well designed both front and back.
Must get a box. Guessing $175-$200 per box? Anyway, not to sound like a grammar freak, but in your title it says 2012-12 Classics, not 2012-13.
Appreciate the heads-up. My typo has been corrected.
I like the John Leclair also. he is a hometown hero here in Pennsylvania. Its cool seeing some retro players on the cards. Panini has been doing a nice job of pull out the oldies lately. i know alot of collectors love these guys. Nice looking stuff. Is this prosuct gonna be like a one pack box or tin?
Love the color in the North Stars auto cards. Brings back memories.
I thought LeClair was from Vermont..Anyway great player. Wish he hadn’t had those injuries later in his career. Would love his card as well as any of the above. Great job guys. Wish we had a season though.
Going to be a Classic
Reblogged this on Ride The Crease.
Appreciate the re-blog.
Why didn’t Vanbiesbrouck get his Beezer mask pictured at that card? It’s just because from the very mask he did got the nickname if I’m right?
Otherwise looks reallt great!
I just hope that Tom Barrasso got some nice cards, really hope with a Barrasso/Wregget combo!
