Panini America Peeks Green Prizms Coming to 2012 Prizm Football Retail (Gallery)

I don't need down comforters to keep me warm this winter. I don't need Granny's quilts or my father-in-law's electric blankets, either. All I really need are a few emerald sheets -- uncut, of course -- from the upcoming 2012 Prizm Football. That's what I immersed myself in yesterday afternoon that ultimately heated up most of the Panini America Production department.

I don’t need down comforters to keep me warm this winter. I don’t need Granny’s quilts or my father-in-law’s electric blankets, either. All I really need are a few emerald sheets — uncut, of course — from the upcoming 2012 Prizm Football. That’s what I immersed myself in yesterday afternoon that ultimately heated up most of the Panini America Production department.

Cue the trumpets: Green Prizms aren’t just for basketball anymore. Green’s good for the gridiron, too. Indeed, those retail-exclusive Green Prizm parallels that have ignited a secondary-market feeding frenzy in 2012-13 Prizm Basketball are coming to 2012 Prizm Football — and once again, they’ll be available only in retail.

Yesterday afternoon, I slipped between the (uncut) sheets with a few 100-up Green Prizm forms, one showcasing the Rookie Card parallels, another highlighting veteran superstars. You can check out the exquisite emerald nature of what I saw in the following gallery.

And if you’ve missed any of the previous posts previewing 2012 Prizm Football, you can check them out here and again right here.

  1. While I am a big Colts fan, I really appreciate the look of cards when a theme matches the team colors. The green Prizm is a stellar addition to the colors of teams like the Packers and Seahawks, it really makes those cards have an extra pop to them. I’ve always been a fan of the Mirror Green in Certified so the Colts from this parallel set will definitely be on my radar. Thanks for the preview as always Tracy!

  2. nice looking cards! love the color and should be widely sought after on the secondary market! gotta get me a luck and rg3 for sure!

  3. Dear Mr. Hackler, any Idea if Prizm will be brought to hockey? I would love a Crosby Prizm (refractor). UD doesn’t make chromium cards and Topps has been out of the NHL since Sid entered the league. Just wondering and dreaming of one of those Green Refractors w/87.

  4. Tracy its very hard to get those retail! Most of them are gone sold out.
I knew it. The first time it was out. We got five packs! I should have picked up the whole box!
Lol! Anyway it should do or be even more in football!

  6. I am glad that you created this .in retail as some times that is all I can afford to buy, but my question is are any of the Prizms serial #’d. PLMK by email.

    Thanks,
    Bob

      1. Is there any plan to ever release the print run of the Prizm Parallels or the Green Prizms? I think I’ve seen you guys release print runs after certain products have been out awhile, any chance of this happening with Prizm?
