Not sure what all you had planned for this weekend, but here’s hoping “stop by The Knight’s Lance on Saturday just in case Panini America posts something cool” was one of the things on your to-do list. If it was, you’re in luck. Today, we offer a spectacular look at some of the newest on-card autographs from 2012 National Treasures Football and 2012-13 Preferred Basketball that arrived at company headquarters in the last few days.

Personally, I can’t decide which of the selections in this following eye-candy buffet I like the most. On one hand, there’s something staggeringly sweet about the Ryan Tannehill Printing Plate 1/1 autograph with the fantastic multicolored memorabilia piece; on the other, there’s the simply sublime offering from New York Knicks great Mark Jackson with the “God Bless U” inscription. Of course, there are 30 other possibilities in the gallery, too.

Among them: On-card gems from Hall of Famers such as Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin and David Robinson and current superstars such as Matt Ryan, Greg Jennings, Tayshaun Prince and many more.

Ultimately, as is always the case, you’ll decide which of these previews is the coolest once these respective products arrive in hobby shops in the coming weeks. But today, we simply want you to enjoy the sights. And if you feel like commenting on what you see, well, we always appreciate that, too.

Have a great weekend — and be sure to stop by The Knight’s Lance again tomorrow. You never know what we might post that just might turn your Sunday super.

  1. Tracy, any idea on how many Prime Silhouettes will fall per case of Preferred Basketball on average?

All of the cards look fantastic as always, thanks for the update.

  2. Great looking Tannehill patches. Too bad the Dophins couldn’t tank enough games in ’11 to get the number 1 pick. An Andrew Luck RPA Dolphins Patch would have been sick. Unfortunately we are stuck with a boring 2 color RPA patch for Luck. Good thing RG3 got drafted by the Washington instead of the Browns : )

  3. Tracy,
Those Tannehills are unbelievable. So many great ones to look at. The white backgrounds really make the Dolphins patches jump off the cards. Great Work by Panini.

  4. The cards absolutely POP – using that high gloss on all white with large signatures, all with the CORRECT Blue Sharpie – looks awesome!

Which card is the “rookie?” The auto patch or the auto patch booklet?

Love how the cards say “Prime” on the back of the nicer (truly prime) pieces.

When did you start putting “Dolphins Football Club” (or whatever team they are on) at the top of the patch auto cards of rookies?

With the Tannehill “17” Team Trademarks Jersey Numbers Prime Signatures – wouldn’t that gorgeous patch be MUCH more wisely used in a 1/1 or some other card with a huge window – I didn’t think it was possible to make such a large, colorful and identifiable patch, well… unidentifiable and actually ruins the look of it.

Overall – awesome job as always, boys!

  5. VERY impressive gallery Tracy, thanks for the preview. That 1/1 stamp on the Tannehill is a nice change, looks awfully familiar though… 🙂
