The ground-shaking buzz reverberating from 2013-14 Prizm Hockey just keeps growing more intense. Earlier this week, Panini America NHL Brand Managers confirmed that the first standalone Prizm Hockey release -- which begins packing out Monday -- would be 100 percent redemption-free. Yesterday, Panini America Sales Director Tim Franz announced that the product had already sold out. Today? Well, it keeps getting better.

Collectors have seen Panini America’s popular Cracked Ice technology. They’ve seen seemingly every color of parallel imaginable under the Prizm rainbow. But when Prizm Hockey releases on September 25, collectors will feast their eyes on something completely new: Purple Cracked Ice Prizms. And the only way to get them is to participate in the company’s North America-wide 2013-14 Prizm Hockey wrapper-redemption program through approved Panini Roundtable hobby shops.
To celebrate the long-awaited release of Prizm Hockey, Panini America has created a special Purple Cracked Ice Parallel set that will be distributed via three-card redemption packs available exclusively through Panini Roundtable hobby shops in the U.S. and Canada.
For every 25 hobby wrappers of 2013-14 Prizm Hockey redeemed through Panini Roundtable dealers, collectors will receive one pack of Purple Cracked Ice cards while supplies last. Packs will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and quantities are limited.
Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for more details on this exciting promotion, including a complete list of participating Panini Roundtable stores.

Another colourful parallel to chase? Count me in! Looks awesome guys, can’t wait to rip into this stuff.
Will they be #’d or have autos?
i would be of a slightly different opinion… the different color versions are just too easy a concept … the part of the card that counts is the player and that doesnt change.. too much ado about backgrounds and borders…As a collector I dont find extra value in it. There must be better concepts possible rather than using other companies’ concepts and even recycling their old designs.. Panini is the best but I think the focus has become on getting too much product out there and re-gurgitation of stuff collectors are getting sick of.. that said I will continue to buy most of every product that comes out as I enjoy the hobby.
Awesome opportunity, thanks Panini!
I’ve always loved wrapper redemptions. I’m sure most collectors would love to see a collaboration between all the companies to produce some type of set, just the Cool Trade program of the mid-90’s.
Very Kool idea. We have to help out the local card shops, it’s vital to our hobby’s future viability.
….not to mention I’m sure they’ll look B-E-A-U-tiful!
I kind of, & respectfully, disagree with Tony. I think Prizm is a perfect product to have multiple parallels in. The metalic cards lend themselves to this well and the overall design of the product seems to work well with the variations. The price tag on Prizm also makes chasing down these parallels in the budget for many collectors. However, I hope that multiple parallels aren’t a trend for all the Panini Hockey products. I like it in one product but not all of them, ie. in how Topps has gone overboard with parallels in all of their products.
Can we get a list of these “approved” shops?
Working on that as we speak. Should have it posted in the next few days.
Nice looking insert set, purple is my wife’s favorite color lol. Thanks Tracy!
I’d like my store to be part of the Roundtable Program. Haven’t received any information on it up in Canada yet though.
awesome parallel set offer…thanks Tracy
I’ve sent in 75 wrapper so far and was waiting for the purple cracked ice cards when i talked to a diamond dealer(as i don’t have one in my town) and he told me that if you send in wrappers that have retail on them that they won’t be honoured as proper redemption wrappers,is this i’ve spent quite a bit on the cards i bought is there really a predjudice on where you buy your packs or from whom.I hope not i’m a hockey card nut i love all the cool cards panini puts out and enjoy watching the box breaks with Tracy Hackler and guest.
What Is the deadline for redeeming the (hobby) wrappers? Hopefully I’m not too late. PLMK.
We’ll take care of you provided it’s through a Panini Roundtable store.
Thanks. Is there a list available of the Roundtable stores in Southern California? (I actually buy most of my boxes from Dave and Adam’s Cardworld in NY. Are they a Rountable store as well? PLMK.) Finally, just so I’m certain of the parameters, only wrappers from hobby packs (not retail) count towards the Purple Cracked Ice wrapper redemption–correct?
