To date, we've teased the game-used Super Bowl XLVI memorabilia insert and the unique player-worn hat cards produced specifically and exclusively for Panini America's 2012 Black Friday promotion. We've shared with you some of the Cracked Ice autograph parallels and the always-popular Tools of the Trade memorabilia insert. What we haven't shown you up to now is any of the 50-card base set.
Day by day and preview by preview, collectors from coast to coast seem to be growing noticeably more excited for Panini America’s 2012 Black Friday promotion. Hopefully, The Knight’s Lance has helped fan the flames of anticipation this week with a plethora of previews intent on showing you everything this special initiative has to offer.
To date, we’ve teased the game-used Super Bowl XLVI memorabilia insert and the unique player-worn hat cards produced specifically and exclusively for Black Friday. We’ve shared with you some of the Cracked Ice autograph parallels and the always-popular Tools of the Trade memorabilia insert. What we haven’t shown you up to now is any of the 50-card base set.
And we’re not going to show you any part of it today, either. Instead, we’re going to show you all of it. Each and every fantastically designed base card in the set, one by one, in the following gallery. For those counting at home (and we know you are), that’s 23 veteran stars spanning all four major sports and 27 Rookie Cards, each numbered to 599 on the back.
Gifted with arresting aesthetics, the striking base set features bold team colors and vertical orientation on the first 23 cards, then flips into horizontal mode for the distinctly ornamented RCs that stay true to the Black Friday theme.
Truth is, we could go on and on about the way this set looks. But you take a look and let us know what you think. Without further ado, we present, in order, the 50-card 2012 Panini America Black Friday base set:
Gimme Gimme Fimme, I don’t know my manners yet.
hey tracy, what is the real deal with the cracked ice parallel’s. are there really only 25 copies or less of these great parallel’s? and the cracked ice auto’s also 25 copies or less?
Looks like an inserts than base.
Would love to have our first black Friday packs!!!
Thanks Tracy for the preview.
How many cards per pack?
And if we order in http://www.icollectpanini.com
How many packs per box?
Thanks for the info..
Peace!
Something I’m sure you thought of before, and not necessarily for Black Friday, though I think that’s where it would be cool, is that is there any way you could get players to don the uniform of another sport. Like Blake Griffin in a Dogers or LA Kings uniform, Miguel Cabrera on skates in a Red Wings uniform or Pistons Jersey. Jeter in a Knicks Jersey. I think that would be pretty awesome. Not sure if there are rules against cross dressing..lol
Base cards look great.. and every preview has been stunning. I am still falling for the Super Bowl Memorabilia..
Love the design of these cards, very sharp looking.
Love this set would love to get. Please please give it to me. I’ve been a good boy all year..
Quite frankly, this is one of the best promo set card designs I have ever seen.
Wow! That’s a huge compliment. Much appreciated.
Anyway you can release how we get these yet off online or at least what the packs will cost? Gotta plan for these things. But such a beautiful set I really gotta try and get some..
We’ll have more details regarding the online portion of the promotion on Tuesday.
Love the horiizontal rookies, especially that Luck. Thanks Tracy!
When is Totally certified basketball coming out? Is it getting delayed? You guys seem so busy with the black friday stuff but how about next wednesday’s release.
Totally Certified is indeed coming out next week. We hope to have a massive QC gallery posted on Monday.
I also like the horizontal cards.
I’m looking at the Andrew Luck & if I’m lucky enough for a few packs, hope to hit his card! Great looking product!!
Those cards are looking pretty sweet! Hope to see some Black Friday packs head to Canada!
How do I purchase these that day?
Tracy — did you guys ever release a print run this year on the super bowl items like last year or on the pink — Breast Cancer autos of this year…I have 3 of the Luck’s and was wondering how many of them were made.
We haven’t released those yet. Trying to see if Scott Prusha will take those public.
