Panini America Provides a Stunning Pre-Ink Peek at 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey

While North America's hockey-loving hobbyists anxiously await the arrival later this week of Panini America's 2013-14 Contenders Hockey, we thought we'd make the wait somewhat more palatable with a pre-ink peek at a high-end hockey juggernaut on tap for a late-August release: 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey.

While North America’s hockey-loving hobbyists anxiously await the arrival later this week of Panini America’s 2013-14 Contenders Hockey, we thought we’d make the wait somewhat more palatable with a pre-ink peek at a high-end hockey juggernaut on tap for a late-August release: 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey.
The first — and, quite possibly, the last — National Treasures Hockey product ever made is already generating a great deal of pre-release buzz thanks to the few sneak peeks we’ve provided to date, most notably last week’s look at the stunning Buried Treasure insert. Today, we’re delivering another batch of must-see images featuring the product’s beautiful, acetate-aided RPAs and the Treasured Twigs game-used hockey stick booklets.

While these gems aren’t quite complete just yet (they have already been expedited to the players on them to receive on-card autographs), they do serve to pull the curtain back a little more on what promises to be an explosive ending end to the 2013-14 NHL product season and, as a result, an explosive end to Panini America’s NHL reign.
Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of the history-making 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey.

  1. Definitely on my list of must haves! Can’t wait to get in on group, case, and box breaks with Rich Layton. Thanks for going out with a bang with Hockey! Will miss seeing Panini America do Hockey. Panini = Hockey!

  2. Another reason to CRY that Panini won’t have the wonderful hockey products that we love, next year. Will our customer base enjoy MVP Opee Chee NOT They are Crying right along with Us ………………..

  3. I’m still not understanding why Upper Deck needs to have exclusive rights to monopolize the entire hockey card market. Since when is competition a bad thing? It can’t be a $$ thing, because the more companies that pay for a trading card license, the more the NHLPA makes. Makes NO sense. Looked everywhere for a logical explanation for this. I’ll miss ya Panini!!

  4. But, didnt Paninis license end 30 of June? or is it the 2013-14 season it ends? To bad there will be no coverage of the NHL draft. Atleast we have hockey stickers! Awesome work! Cant wait for NT

  5. Tracy,
You guys have so much great stuff for the end. I can’t wait for this stuff, but man will I miss Panini in hockey, such a shame.
Can’t wait for more teases of this and Prime to come.
    Thanks,
    T

  6. man that Lundqvist Twig card is sick. What an awesome looking product. Must be a blast to crack a box….or 3

  7. Man looks like Hockey and Panini are gonna be heating things up. The books have me at a loss for words. That Super Mario book would look good on my mantle. The dual shield is pretty as well. Thanks for the look Tracy. I knew you guy would go out with a Bang

  8. I posted in the old “UD gets exclusive” thread about how it sucks that this happened but it would be cool if Panini went out with a bang. Well….it certainly looks like you guys were paying attention. Natty T and PRIME (let’s not forget about that one either) are both on my rip list.
