The early buzz surrounding Panini America’s upcoming 2016 Origins Football first started building just more than three weeks ago, when images of the first hard-signed cards began hitting Panini America’s social media channels during the 2016 NFLPA Rookie Premiere Presented By Panini. Late last week, the product’s solicitation material went out. Expect the buzz to continue.

An aesthetically striking new addition to the Panini America NFL trading card roster, 2016 Origins Football arrives in hobby shops across North America in late August boasting one on-card Rookie Autograph, one Jumbo Rookie Patch Autograph and one Jumbo or Patch Memorabilia card in every seven-card box.

Additional highlights of the product are many and include . . .

  • On-card signatures and Jumbo Patch Autographs from 40 of the NFL’s best and brightest rookies.
  • Stunning multi-signed cards and booklets in Quad Rookie Autographs, Six-Star Signatures Booklets, Passing Stars Signatures Booklets and Rushing Stars Signatures Booklets.
  • Rare on-card Silver and Gold Ink Autographs numbered to 99 or less.
  • Scarce Rookie Auto Booklet Patch cards featuring super-sized prime swatches and on-card autographs numbered to 25 or less.

  2. This is a very innovative look. I’m sure that Origins will be an instant classic right from the date of its Inception! Great work!

      1. 🙂 I do suppose though, someone had to fill the void since Inception was such a popular early season release. I do like that it appears to have some vet patches in addition to the rookies. That Barry Sanders looks pretty sick. Is there an auto variation of those?
