Panini America Provides Detailed First Look at 2018 National Treasures Soccer (Gallery)
In early June, just as the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ is kicking off, Panini America will make trading card history with the release of the first-ever National Treasures Soccer product. One of the most revered high-end franchises in collecting history has made its mark over the years in the NFL, in the NBA, in baseball, in NASCAR and in the collegiate arena. This summer, it finally hits the pitch with a spectacular roster of autograph and memorabilia content.
On average, each box of 2018 National Treasures Soccer (10 cards per box, four boxes per case) will deliver one base card, eight autograph or memorabilia cards (at least four autographs) and one additional card that will be either a parallel, an autograph, a memorabilia card or a dual-jersey autograph booklet. As is the case with any National Treasures release, this one will boast a heralded mix of autograph and memorabilia content honoring the the greatest superstars of the past and present.
The highlights of 2018 National Treasures Soccer are many and include . . .
- Autographs of some of soccer’s biggest up-and-coming stars in Debut Signatures; look for the first on-card autographs of Philippe Coutinho, Michy Batshuayi and more. Base Debut Signatures are numbered to 99 and are paralleled by Bronze (numbered to 25), Gold (numbered to 10) and Platinum 1/1 versions. Also look for Photo Variations that feature a special designation on the back of the card.
- For the first time in soccer, Panini America unveils Dual Jersey Autograph Booklet cards that will fall roughly once per case, on average.
- Oversized memorabilia swatches in Colossal Materials, Tremendous Treasures and the all 1/1 Brand Logos.
- The first on-card autographs of more than 15 players, including legends such as Belgium’s Marc Wilmots and Wesley Sonck, Mexico’s Jared Borgetti and the United States’ Landon Donovan.
- All cards in National Treasures feature players with their national team. Every card in the product is numbered to 99 or less.
- More than 10 autograph inserts including the 1/1 A Class of Their Own.
- Look for at least three memorabilia cards per box, on average.
