It’s time. Panini America’s 2013 Black Friday hobby shop promotion is coming. For the third straight year, Panini America will bring the nationwide shopping frenzy of Black Friday to local hobby shops all over the country with another of its now-legendary wrapper-redemption programs. In the coming weeks, The Knight’s Lance will bring you everything you need to know about this year’s special event, including preview galleries, participating shop information and more.

Today, though, we’re going to get the previews started with your first look at unique on-card autograph content from some of the NFL’s greatest legends and some of the NBA’s hottest rookies — must have cards developed and created exclusively for Panini America’s 2013 Black Friday set.

For starters, there’s the spectacular Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2013 Autographs that were signed by the NFL’s newest inductees during Induction Weekend in August. Headlining the checklist? The likes of Cris Carter, Warren Sapp, Larry Allen and more. Then there’s the art-inspired — and downright striking — Inked autographs, featuring the first on-card signatures of top NBA rookies such as Michael Carter-Williams, No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett, Victor Oladipo and more.

They’re all exclusive to Panini America’s 2013 Black Friday set — and they’re all on display below. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned for wall-to-wall coverage of the phenomenon known as Panini America’s 2013 Black Friday promotion.

  1. Is this all the only NBA Rookies who will feature? They remind me of the 2012 Limited “Inked” set in the NFL last year and I would love to be able to pick up a Steven Adams if he is in this set?

  2. Why isn’t there a stand-alone HOF product? Those cards are designed so well, we need a full set of all HOFers. Make it a box-topper like with the Kobe packs.

  3. Gooood goodness, the sepia tone hoops autos are fantastic! Portraiture is an under-used element in the hobby. The Canton autos are simply filthy; the Parcells is a tremendous card…& as a long-suffering Viking fan, lov in’ the C.C!
    Nice work, Panini.

  4. Really nice looking ‘graphs’ Tracy. Happy to see the new ‘Inked’ line of autographed rookie cards that we saw up at the Toronto Expo continued with the NBA players. Can’t wait see what else you’ll have ‘in store’ 😉 for the Black Friday promotion.

    1. Agreed. Nothing says quite like “searched” than someone selling all skinny packs (or just fat packs). I know it’s been suggested before, but any chance of “spacers” or “decoys” in this year’s Black Friday promo packs?

I got some fantastic stuff last year and in the expo packs from my orders from the Panini store, not so much from my sorta local (half hour drive) card shop.

  5. Are the HOF autos numbered, and if so, what to? I’m doing a chase for officially produced Packers Super Bowl winning player autos, and Dave Robinson is one that I still need, and I really like that card!

  6. Those look really sharp! No-one does promo cards quite like Panini. You guys should consider creating a Vault product with leftover promo packs. It would be a hit for sure.

  7. Please put decoys in the packs this year! I hate walking into a store only to be told,” these packs looked different so I opened them and look what I pulled!”
